About this property

Crabden Meadows, Blendworth - sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom + sofa bed

Crabden Meadows is a rural retreat perfectly placed in the ancient meadows of the South Downs National Park. If you want rural tranquillity yet with villages and towns still within easy driving distance then Crabden Meadows is the holiday home for you. The A3M is less than a mile away but you are so secluded here in Blendworth you would never know; you have easy travel access to London , Emsworth , Petersfield, Portsmouth & Southsea. Looking out across private meadowlands you can watch the deer passing and wildlife in abundance. The host will leave out binoculars for those eager to spot the young stags and fawns as they amble across the fields. If you want a picturesque leisurely stroll or a ramble across local fields Crabden has an abundance of walks and trails straight from your door step. A popular walk leads to the lovely Chalton Windmill. Chalton Red Lion pub is must try as well! If you bring your bikes there are plenty of cycle routes also.

Crabden Meadows has been beautifully renovated to offer a comfortable and modern living space for four. With large open plan living area you can cosy down after a busy day of exploration. Wifi is included and available throughout the property. The large widescreen television will be logged into Netflix so you can settle down and watch the latest television series or catch a classic movie. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to self cater during your stay and it's clever design although compact so as not to impose offers everything you need to cook up a feast.

There is a lovely dining space as well as room to dine alfresco using the outdoors furniture provided. Why not enjoy a glass of something cool and bubbly while looking out across our beautiful countryside. For fans of all things retro you will particularly enjoy using the cocktail cabinet laid out with babycham glasses just a few of many! This gorgeous feature would be the perfect start to day at Goodwood Revival with a Mimosa for breakfast and why not finish off with a G&T on your return.

Crabden Meadows has one double bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room. This holiday home has one good sized bathroom with roll top bath and double shower cubicle. Allocated parking available on site.

This property has a strict no pet policy.

8/10 Good

Comfortable and convenient for two people + car, for a week or so
Very pleasant interior, spacious living room with comfy furniture, and a lovely bathroom. Kitchen has all the essentials but a bit compact, as is the eating area; location of combo oven awkward to use if you aren't flexible and the fridge is small. Good heating, Wifi and off-road parking. Host lives next door and is responsive if needed. Convenient location for restaurants, shops and access to A3, although less so when we were there due to road closure resulting in a rural detour.

8/10 Good

Great location and peaceful
Great location let down by inadequate cooking facilities. Kitchen utensils required more cleaning. Insufficient hot water available to fill the bath in evenings. Stated Netflix available but NOT the case, no smart tv.

10/10 Excellent

Beautiful location, excellent accommodation, lovely host.
Crabden Meadows is set in beautiful countryside and the quality of the accommodation matches the view. There are shops and other facilities within easy reach and you can even get food delivered if you want. There is a large comfortable lounge/diner with cooking facilities, a washing machine, fridge and freezer. The bathroom has a huge tub and great separate shower with loads of hot water. The first bedroom is a decent size with a comfortable bed and a second is available if needed (although we didn't). All the fixtures and fittings are of a high quality and the place itself is clean and tidy. Our host Kim, couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. She went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely recommend Crabden Meadows and will return the next time we're in the area.

Great Place To Stay If you Need A Short or Even A Long Term Let
Crabdon Meadows has everything you will need for a short or even a long term let. It has a comfortable king sized bed, large lounge with dining area, fully fitted kitchen and a good size bathroom with bath and a lovely shower. It is very quiet and peaceful with views over the meadows, easy walk to restaurants, tea rooms, a pub and yet you're only a short drive from the A3. Kim the owner was very helpful and advised us of some good walks and places to eat. We had a long term let and would highly recommend staying there.
