if you are looking for luxurious comfort with style in abundance Herdwick Lodge has it all. From the large terrace with your own hot tub to the beautiful open plan living, it's perfect.

There is beautiful open plan living, with central heating and additional fire and the most amazing views to enjoy all year round. Large comfy sofas and chairs, large flat screen TV add to the feeling of home and the luxurious style of this beautiful lodge. There are double french doors leading to the terrace where you will find seating for four guests and your hot tub which is sunk into the terrace.

With all the mod cons you could wish for in the kitchen, it's a home away from home holiday.

There are two bedrooms, the master is a double with en-suite and the twin has full sized twin beds for your comfort.

There are amazing woodland walks, leading to the golf club where there is a cosy bar, and you often spot Roe Deer and other wildlife on the way. A perfect haven away from the hassle of life.

Herdwick Lodge is dog friendly, Unlimited Golf included in price of holiday and there is unlimited WIFI too.

Herdwick Lodge was lovely all round and we would highly recommend it. The welcome basket and the hot tub were were particularly appreciated. The only minor issue was that the postcode supplied with the directions led us to the Coast and Country pub rather than the lodge. Putting Herdwick lodge into the map directly led us to the correct place so was the better option.

Relaxing getaway

A superbly equipped lodge, in a quiet well kept park, grounds and surrounding areas are beautiful. Fine weather helps but even in a rain shower the hot tub is very enjoyable.Thank you Hemera Holidays.

After staying in several lodges for a short break this by far was the best You can tell the owners have pride in their lodge everything you need and more Lovely touch with Prosecco and cookies for when we arrived Only negative thing Think whoever is cleaning lodge before and after guests need to work a little harder The lodge needs a new hoover as that one stinks Would definitely stay again

Lovely, clean & quiet!

Lovely quiet break away. Lodge lovely, clean, everything you need and great quiet location on the site. Nice to sit on the decking in the morning watching the sun rise & have breakfast! Good base to get to see Northumberland - no where to far to travel. Great customer service from Hemera Holidays.

Overall nice lodge in a great location

The lodge was well equipped with everything needed with some nice extras such as books, etc (only suggestion in the kitchen would be more washing up liquid). The lodge was clean however, there was a lot of dust in corners/ under radiators. The hoover also smelled. Hot tub was nice and clean. The lodge is in a great location, very quiet and close to Bamburgh and Alnwick

Quite location, good size but not impressed with the cleanliness

Very quiet and peaceful place. Location was good and service was good too. First look around everything looked great but as the days were going by by day 3 I started to find small things around the lodge regarding cleanliness that was not impressed by and made the rest of the stay unpleasant. There was dog hair pretty much everywhere (sofas, carpet and washing machine were the worst). As I’m not a dog owner that was something not very pleasant for me and my family as an experience.

An ok stay.

Our stay in the lodge was ok, not what was expected really. The stay started with a couple of loops around the holiday park after the directions that were given weren't great; Road names on the directions weren't correct so we spent a bit of time just driving around aimlessly. The lodge itself was ok, some of the furntiture was uncomfortable and probably needs replacing now, no doubt there have been a lot of guests over the years. The kitchen is well equipped with pretty much everything you need for a short term stay, possibly more pans could be made available. The area is ok, some nice views, but there isn't anything to do for children on site, althoguh there is plenty of touristy places in the local area, all within 30-45 mins drive. I'm not sure we would stop on this particular park again, the price paid didn't match what we received, but given the current economical times the price is as expected.

Hi Mick, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, although we are very disappointed to read it;- it is such a shame that the park wasn't right for you. All of the property and park descriptions let you know that there is nothing but a small play park on the site for children, as Percy Wood is all about the peace, quiet, and beautiful of views of the Northumberland countryside. The nearest town is Alnwick, which is roughly an 8 -10 minute drive, with at least dozen tourist attractions, Morpeth is 20 minutes South, and the beaches are approx 20 minutes to Druridge or Cresswell which are the nearest. We are sorry that you didn't find any closer than a 30-45 minute drive, but we promise they are there. We have never had anyone getting lost on the way to Herdwick since it was purchased about 18 months ago, (at the same time all the furniture was purchased) but we will go back over the directions again to make sure they are correct, thank you for bringing this to our attention. With your arrival instructions we give you the numbers to contact if there are any issues at all with the Lodge so we can quickly sort things out for you. It is a real shame that you didn't contact anyone to say there was a cleaning issue - as you can see from all of the other reviews this is not an issue usually associated with Herdwick Lodge, and we are sorry if it wasn't right for you on this occasion.

Holiday

It was lovely, it was nice and clean and very comfortable beds, however, I’m not sure what they use in the hotub but I’m covered in a rash all over which is itchy, I’m not sure why it’s like this but just be careful!

Amazing stay

Beautiful lodge

Really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, it was modern, comfortable, clean and highly equipped with everything you would need. Peaceful and great location of the site, which was in good distance to all popular areas of Northumberland. The only reason I rated it a 4 for cleanliness was because on the 4th night we were unable to use the hot tub as it started to smell, I don't think the worker had been to add the cleaning solution towards the end of our stay. I would be happy to book again though...it was a really lovely holiday.

We loved our week staying in Herdwick Lodge. The lodge was beautiful, there was everything we could possibly want and more. Everything was very clean and decorated to a high standard. The location of the lodge is spot on for visiting all the fabulous beaches nearby.

Fantastic lodge with everything you need for you stay.

The lodge was amazing we would definitely return. The bari bar was great, but didn't provide food everyday, I think the return of the snack vans would be better. Wendy was very helpful with all our queries.

Lovely lodge on excellent site

Beautiful lodge on a quiet well set out site. Ideal location to explore the area (Alnwick, Bambrough, Holy island). Superb hot tub on sheltered private decking topped it off. Well pleased and would definitely recommend.

Lovely accommodation

The lodge was excellent. A bit of luxury with everything needed for a superb holiday. The hot tub made it extra special. Only problem we had was the wifi which wasn’t great and wouldn’t connect to TV so viewing was limited. Didn’t spoil the holiday as the site is so central for touring the region and we were out every day and in the hot tub on an evening. Thank you for a great break. We will be back.

Lovely, large clean caravan, in the middle of lots of caravans, hot tub wasn’t usable the first night as it was a cold tub.
