About this property

Kampos View - Quiet House at the end of the Road, with privet pool

Relax by making a unique and calm getaway to the west of Crete. The accommodation has belonged to our family for many generations and has been completely renovated in 2021 and in 2023 a beautiful swimming pool was added.
It consists of a kitchen, a bedroom and a bedroom shared to the living room. The house was originally built in the early 1900s, thus the bathroom is separated from the rest of the house at the same building.
It has a large courtyard with panoramic mountain and sea view (depending on the season you can see the sunset right on the sea) and it has a privet pool.
The house provides privacy as it is located at the end of the village.
The house is located in Kampos village, in western of Crete, right in the middle of the two most famous and beautiful beaches of Chania (Elafonisi and Falasarna are just a 35-45 minutes drive away). The guests can also visit the sea that is located at the very end of the village (approximately a 10 minutes drive away).
Finally inside the village, within 250m distance, three traditional restaurants can be found providing the guest the full Cretan food experience.
The night sky view is amazing even to your bare eyes, since the house is located far from city lights in the mountains.

A relaxing stay in Kampos, close to the sea.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay in the house. It is newly furnished and has a lovely sunny terrace with a great view and a lemon tree with fabulous lemons. The house is very quiet. In the village there are several good tavernas in walking distance. The house is in a strategic location to explore the west coast of the island. We would love to come back!

Hillside retreat, escape the crowds!

Off the beaten track, perfect tranquility. Mid way between Elaphonisi and Falasarna (we also went up to Balos that day) so a great location for exploring the West Coast. Lovely to find welcome gifts and plentiful supplies of essentials, Nikos made sure that we had all we needed. The photos you sent us to help us find our way were invaluable, an excellent idea

Kampos View - lives up to its title!

This was an exceptional stay and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet break with stunning views. The accommodation is well appointed with lots of nice touches to make you feel at home. (One note of advice: keep the key in the safety box outside - it is possible to lock yourself out - we almost did it! Another tip to stock up your fridge at supermarkets up the coast at Kissamos or Platanos - there are few provisions on sale nearby.) We definitely hope to return to recharge our batteries again!
