Wonderful holiday home, set in a beautiful place surrounded by amazing wildlife and alongside the river Esk. We fed the ducks every morning which amazed my grandson, even though it felt quite remote it’s only a short ride into Whitby for shopping and fish and chips. I would definitely book this holiday home again as it was so warm and comfortable, 4 nights didn’t seem long enough.

The house was so warm and cosy.
The house was so warm and cosy. We really enjoyed our stay there and was well accommodated. There were tea, coffee ect on arrival with all the essentials you need. We went as a family with our 2 year old grandaughter she loved feeding the ducks every morning. The views and location are fab with only about a 15 min walk into whitby via the vioduct. We definitely want to return.

We had a nice week however we spent money on purchasing fishing equipment. We was so excited to go fishing outside the cottage on the river Esk but there was a sign to say No fishing by law. Maybe the cottage needs to update the advert. The cottage was beautiful and I don’t like to complain but just a couple of points that’s I did leave a note for the cleaner was the oven needed a clean and there was an issue with slugs each morning in the kitchen. I understand how remote the cottage is and this was probably the issue.
