GORGEOUS Remodeled South Beach Cottage - 2 blocks from the shore!

Step into our sunny-bright beach cottage with a farmhouse flare that will make you feel so welcome and cozy you won't want to leave! You will feel pampered by the personal touches and extras that come with your stay at this vacation home. Fetch some morning brew from our coffee bar and enjoy the morning peace nestled in the rockers on the front porch. Enjoy some family fun in the sun and sand followed with a home-cooked meal in the kitchen (or outdoor grill) full of all new appliances to meet all of your cooking needs. Enjoy your meal at the kitchen bar or at the dining room table amidst the warm glow of the fireplace. There are 2 TV areas for together cuddles or winding down family time. This home carries a small footprint, but feels incredibly roomy with high ceilings and open floor plan. Despite breeching 100 years, everything in this home is BRAND NEW!
Family games, toys and puzzles are great for inside fun, while outdoor pleasure is just around the block at Kids Corner and hiking/biking trails are down the street (Van Buren Trail) or across town (Kal Haven Trail). There's bike, moped and gulf cart rentals in the area to help you get around. Boat and jetski rentals can bring summer water fun.
Children will love the custom-made bunk experience (very fort-like) that has 2 twin beds above 2 full beds.
Downstairs bedroom has en suite full bathroom with tub/shower, glass enclosed. Upstairs full bathroom offers a walk-in shower, glass enclosed.
For your convenience a brand new washer/dryer is ready to assist!
The beach is two blocks away and festivities, restaurants, shops and winter ice rink are all in walking distance as well (6 blocks). Be sure to check out South Haven's calendar of festivals and events to enhance your time here. Evening ice-cream runs are a must! The harbor is also in walking distance (about 5 blocks) and offers a kids splash & play, live music, benches and grills or just pull up a yard chair and watch the boats go by. Small dogs under 20 lbs welcome with a $200 fee.

The house was in a great location! My daughter and grandkids and I walked everywhere. We walked to the beach, kids corner, and dinner everyday. The house set up was great. The grandkids had the upstairs bunk area and their mom had her own bedroom upstairs. The house was well stocked with towels and coffee. The place was clean. The street was quiet and the kids loved playing around the house. We had a wonderful time.

This was one of the best rental experiences I have had. The home was beautiful and immaculately clean! We even had to move the loveseat to get a dropped lid and there wasn’t a speck of dust! It was a perfect location for an easy walk to the beach and even to shops and restaurants in warm weather. I can not recommend this home highly enough!

We love this house! It is very cute and done beautifully! They absolutely maximized the space. The fireplace was such a nice feature during our cold stay. This is EXACTLY the type of experience you wish to have when you choose VRBO. The place was spotless, beautiful homey decor, comfortable beds with blankets to spare. This was the dream escape for a bachelorette tribe of 5. Everyone had their own bed but enjoyed time together in the bunk room. You don’t need a single thing kitchen-wise they provided everything we could possible need. Check-in was easy with a simple code and we always felt completely safe. The beach is not a far walk at all. Down the street, turn right, stairs by the church. Downtown was lovely with the sweetest shops. We ate at Taste- delicious. This was a highly walkable, easygoing, dreamscape of a vacation. We could not be more grateful that this host opened their sweet home to us.

High school sweathearts - we married at the end of our college years and South Haven was/is our happy place! It is where we were when we became engaged and where we spent our honeymoon...and endless numbers of dates throughout our years :) Buying a vacation home here has been on our goal list for many years and we are so excited to offer opportunities for other couples and families to build memories here in South Haven too!

Why they chose this property

I do feel like fate was with us in this home purchase - - - We happened upon Sheron, the previous owner, while on a date and riding bikes looking at the beautiful homes on Maple street. Sheron asked us if we were from the area and we immediately enjoyed her company...sharing our dreams of owning a home here. We took a tour of her family home and launched plans to purchase. Such an awesome opportunity and we are beyond excited to finally launch our first VRBO here with South Beach Cottage! Maple Street is the only boulevard in SoHa and it comes with some neat history. In my humble opinion, it sits in the sweet spot of SoHa as it is close enough to the water to hear the waves and close enough to the festivities to walk to. It is perfect!

What makes this property unique

This was a complete remodel project with a new floor containing newly added rooms to this home. All rooms had a make over and all beds, bathrooms, kitchen appliances, countertops and cabinets are brand new. You will LOVE the beach time you get to spend and will LOVE the comfort of a home that is catered to your enjoyment and comfort! My husband and I reside only an hour away, so if an emergency or issue arises, we can be there pretty quickly :)
