The kitchen was well equipped, we could have done with a couple of water jugs, but apart from that we had everything we needed. Great to have off street parking for all the cars. The property was clean and well presented

After 20 years of going away as a group, this was one of the best properties we have enjoyed. Great to have 6 en-suite bedrooms, loads of space to chill, chat, eat and just find a quiet space to read. We were very impressed by James as a contact (does the man sleep?). Parking for 5-6 cars, and a very easy check in procedure. The quality of the Old Chapel's contents is very high - furniture, Crockers, cutlery, beds and so on. Really do recommend this place. Great local pub too - The Royal Oak. Their food is excellent but as a tip, call them for reservations. I tried to make an online reservation for lunch but was told they had no space. The next day I called in and they said it was a glitch (again) on their booking system.

Wonderful stay in the old chapel. Perfectly located for wonderful walks. House and kitchen perfectly equipped with all needs and more. Would highly recommended a stay here for any occasion as a group

Our stay was amazing The Chapel was in a beautiful location, a 2 min walk to the local pub and excellent for walks. Th hosts were very accommodating with a sample of some local treats , wine and beer. We will definitely stay again and would fully recommend

The perfect place for a special getaway

An amazing place

The chapel has been converted with some style into a well equipped, luxurious and spacious 6 bedroomed residence. It is located close to the pretty Derbyshire Peak District and was perfect for our family birthday celebration weekend. If only the weather has been as good!

Excellent location and fabulous accommodation

We are a group of 12 long time friends and we were celebrating a special birthday. The chapel is just as it appears in the photos, so spacious with everything you could need for a luxurious stay. We wished we had booked longer. James is a wonderful host too.

We had a wonderful stay. Very good location. Ideal for family gatherings. Lovely to have the addition of a stair gates, high chairs and cots. A perfect kitchen and dining area for us all to eat and gather.Great to have lots of parking as well.Would make it just perfect to have a tumble dryer or some more clothes horses at least as was a struggle to dry clothes. Otherwise perfect

Birthday Celebration

We had a wonderful weekend at the Old Chapel with our family. The space is very generous with a huge living area, massive kitchen/diner, a small reading ms /games room and 6 good sized bedrooms all ensuite. Everything was top quality.

We had a great stay, everything we needed for our stay including some welcome essentials (beer, wine, milk, butter, etc.) in a very well equipped kitchen(s)...plenty of parking. Great bedrooms and lots of spacious social space. Good communication throughout. Would happily stay again if we hold another group get together.

Amazing property

Incredible property. Stunning old chapel which has been beautifully renovated. 6 ensuite rooms all a good size and comfortable. Kitchen space is a great size and the kitchen is very well stocked. Living area is stunning with plenty of seating for everyone. James was a great host quick responding to an question and a lovely touch leaving a few welcome items. Will definitely stay again

Family celebration

We recently stayed at The Old Chapel for some long needed family time whilst celebrating a special birthday. The property is stunning and we had ample space for all 11 of us to eat together in the fabulous kitchen/dining area and relax in the evening in the amazing lounge! The bedrooms are all en-suite so everyone had their own personal space. James was very reassuring before our visit and was an excellent host - thank you for a memorable and very special weekend. We would definitely stay here again!

Ten go walking in the Peak District

Excellent property for a large group of adults to explore the Peak District. Six en-suite rooms equally sized so no-one gets the small room! Kitchen/dining area easily accommodates the group and is well equipped. The lounge is enormous and has great views. Loads of walking from the Chapel or a short drive away. Pictures/description of the property can't do justice to the wow factor. Would definitely recommend.

Good location

We were staying as a family for 3 nights for a big birthday celebration. The location was perfect right on Thors cave doorstep and very close to Dovedale stepping stones. Chapel was very well appointed with lovely bedding and toiletries and goodies. For our stay the weather was awful but however much adjusting there was no heat. It wasn’t until the last evening that we had some warmth. Thank goodness for the log fire in the evenings so we were warm on the lounge at least. We had a lovely time despite this and the Peak District is beautiful even in the rain. We would certainly visit again.

We got out an engineer for the broken boiler as quickly as we could, but I'm so sorry that we weren't able to get it sorted sooner. Stunning property

Amazing well equipped spacious chapel. I actually got lost in it when I first entered. We were 6 couples enjoying a birthday celebration and it exceeded all our expectations. Beautiful furnishings with attention to detail. Fully equipped kitchen with a spare kitchen if needed (which you don’t) Heating system worked very well, considering the size of the property too. James was very prompt with a query. A pub and walks on your doorstep everything you could possibly need. Can’t wait to revisit.
