We apologise that you found 35 spiders during your stay, this does not reflect lack of cleanliness, but spiders can be prevalent in older buildings. Norman Chapel is a 12th Century Grade 11 listed period property full of character features including exposed chancel and nave stonework, exposed beams and two fireplaces, both with cosy wood burners. Spiders will appear in the gaps and cracks in stone and brick walls, floorboards, and old beams. Spiders and their webs can be removed on a changeover, however they will reappear through another crack or beam as soon as they have been removed. We hope you will return to the Cotswolds soon.
