There is a step in the garden.. Close House Cottage sits in an elevated position and enjoys the most stunning views of the countryside in Upper Wensleydale. Offering a warm welcome and homely accommodation it is perfect for a family to enjoy. The living area is spacious with a large comfortable sofa and chair settled around the wood burner, Freesat TV for your entertainment, an assortment of DVDs and lots of books and games. The heart of the cottage is the open plan kitchen and dining area with a farmhouse table, and is well equipped to cater for your stay, with use of a washing machine by request at the property. Open tread stairs lead off the kitchen to the three bedrooms a kingsize, a single and a bunk room. All rooms face out across the garden with the wonderful views across Wensleydale. The bathroom has a bath and shower over. Outside the lawned garden is a lovely peaceful spot to sit and relax, watch the children play, or sit and enjoy a bite to eat. There are countless walks from the doorstep with the Pennine Way passing through the village and Hardraw Force waterfall nearby. The market town of Hawes is one and a half miles and has numerous pubs, shops and restaurants along with visitor attractions such as the Wensleydale Creamery. Hardraw has an art gallery, tearoom and craft shop, and a traditional inn serving wholesome food. Hardraw is a beautiful and tranquil part of Wensleydale and a perfect base to stay.
