Brittonshillcottage is a Glorious Country cottage a unique 15th century Detached Thatched Cottage in the Garden of England complete with a luxurious large Hot Tub set on its own deck overlooking fields and open countryside the cottage can sleep from 2 -6 persons
Brittons hill is a original Chocolate Box 'cottage set in a picturesque private garden and surrounded by rolling Kent countryside as far as the eye can see, a truly idyllic escape from the real world but with ultra modern conveniences including sky tv and sky movies.
This luxury detached cottage which has been totally renovated to the highest standard is a 3 bedroom two- bathroom 350 year old Thatch Cottage sleeping up to 6 persons.
The Cottage is over looking stunning countryside we have plenty of outside seating and dining areas for you to enjoy alfresco dining wonderful breakfasts and evening sunsets
We are close to the famous Romney marshes and situated between Appledore and Hamstreet villages and all set in idyllic surroundings with Glorious countryside all around us.
Surrounded by a mixture of pasture and woodland bluebell woods nearby and is a haven for wildlife-peace and tranquility guaranteed.

Our cottage has it’s own particular special charm, and is refurbished to provide the highest standard of comfort,and luxury yet retaining a wealth of period features along with a contemporary twist Tasteful Elegant furnishings, beautiful living areas and conservatory all with amazing views

Chocolate box cottage, clean comfy and well equipped. Especially enjoyed the hot tub with gorgeous views across fields. Comfy beds. Good location for visiting the area.

Perfect weekend getaway

When approaching the cottage, it looks tiny, but on entering it opens up at the back to a lovely spacious kitchen and the rest of the house. Comfy beds, lovely hot tub and gorgeous views. You can also walk to Gusbourne vineyard which is just down the road and across the fields. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, warm, cottage in the countryside

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage over the New Year period. Pauline was easily contactable and very helpful throughout. The property is immaculately styled and very warm - even in the cold winter months. Five stars!

“Chocolate box” Cottage (with TARDIS-like interior)

Lovely cottage with idyllic views. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Local village tea room (Miss Molletts - great scones) and pub (The Black Lion - good food, reasonable prices and generous helpings) both well worth a visit. Gusbourne vineyard tour recommended. Also steam train and Rye town short distance away and not to be missed. So plenty to do during your stay.

Not what we expected

The photos on Vrbo are very misleading. The property is only 6 foot away from a road so we couldn't open our bedroom windows. There is also no pavement so we could not safely walk with the kids and dog. There was only the one hanging egg chair (the double is no longer there), and the connections were loose so is permanently tipped over. Also the corner garden sofa shown on the photos has gone. The photos must be very old as the tree in the back garden is now so tall it leaves much of the patio area in the shade. Sadly, the hot tub was also not in working order for our first 5 days. We would not return.

Dear Jane Thank you for your review and I would like to address the points you have raised you booked a country cottage set in rural countryside so there are no pavements in the area which is usual in the countryside obviously nothing we can alter. Both bedrooms back on to beautiful open fields so there is no noise The garden is south facing and enjoys beautiful sunshine and the week you visited there was wall to wall sunshine the tree is a beautiful protected oak which does not over hang the patio but can give welcome shade in very hot weather. Yes there is a swinging egg chair which know one has ever complained about ? All the photos on the vrbo site are current and constantly updated and in no way misleading. unfortunately the day you arrived the hot tub developed a fault which I made you aware of before you arrived it was something totally out of our control and as you know we reduced the cost of your stay because of this and worked tirelessly to get it fixed and had a engineer there as soon as was possible so you could enjoy it for your last two days. I can only imagine that your review is based on the fact that you had part of your damage deposit withheld for leaving our home in in such a poor condition something we have never had to do before when we arrived at our beautiful cottage we were shocked and disappointed at the way it had been treated. The mattress had been stained the sheets were full of dirty dog paws and the lovely bedspreads were also covered with mud from your dog and the towels were unable to be saved and your comment to this was I should not supply white towels I also sent you photographic evidence of the sheets bedspread mattress towels etc to prove this. I am also confident in saying that all are reviews are in total contradiction to your comments.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The place is bigger than it looks! We were able to get hold of the owners regarding an issue and this was resolved quickly. The trip was special as it was for our mums belated 70th. Would highly recommend. Wished we had longer.

A beautiful location and a beautiful cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and was perfectly set in great surroundings with plenty of places within easy reaching distance to visit. Beautiful relaxing hot tub to bathe in after a day of shopping and exploring the great country side. Some lovely eateries locally too with great service and good to offer. Fabulous break.

Wonderful Cottage!

We visited the cottage in February and had a wonderful stay the cottage is warm and so cosy beautifully furnished with top end furnishings and very spacious for 6 persons there are amazing views from all parts of the cottage. We braved the hot tub and it was wonderfully clean and warm and so relaxing sitting in the bubbles looking over the countryside while relaxing what bliss! The cottage is ideally situated near to lovely villages and the town of Tenterden with good shopping and lovely eateries. If you can I strongly recommend you visit this charming cottage it is a must and we will definitely be going back plus the owners were lovely people to deal with and very helpful to us.

A truly beautiful home in a wonderful location we loved the hot tub and the fabulous views from the garden plus you have beautiful views from all the rooms the cottage was extremely clean and fresh and has lots of very comfortable sofas and what a wonderful kitchen equipped with everything you could need also the garden studio is a great addition fully equipped and our Sons were very comfortable in there. the owners were also so kind and helpful with any questions we had we absolutely loved our visit and would recommend it very highly.

Very pretty cottage and great views

Lovely holiday had by all. Hot tub was welcome at the end of the day. Very quaint cottage a mix of traditional and very modern. High quality fixtures and fittings and had everything we needed. Few smaller Pyrex dishes would have been useful for use in microwave. Hob took some figuring out. Cottage right on a busy road and difficult to reverse in and out. Bed too hard for me but it depends what is preferred. Loved the 2 separate living areas, especially the traditional more comfy one. Lovely garden and the chair swing was very relaxing. Lovely conservatory with large dining table for family meals and board games. Overall a good relaxing break for us all. Pauline lovely lady to deal with

Perfect Cottage perfect holiday

This Cottage is Just Perfect more than beautiful what a surprise we had when we walked in through the gate my little girl was so excited she was convinced that fairy’s must live in the garden the cottage was every bit as special inside as outside we took our dog with us and there are woods to explore just opposite the cottage which we all enjoyed we were lucky with the weather and could eat our breakfast in the lovely garden looking at the amazing views and the pheasants and bunny rabbits in the fields, we all loved the hot tub which made our stay even more special we had lovely days out there is such a lot to see and do all within short drives from the cottage but we were always glad to go back to the cottage it really is a super place for a holiday you feel totally removed from the hustle of the real world and a big thank you to the owners who were very good to deal with and most helpful if you are looking for something special you really should visit Brittons Hill Cottage you will not be disappointed.

A Stunning Cottage

What a Stunner of a Cottage you come in and you see this gorgeous chocolate box Cottage in a beautiful garden with the most lovely views all around you inside is very tasteful furnished and so comfy with everything you could need some beautiful places to visit all within a short drive we also spent lots of time in the large hot tub, in the morning we ate in the lovely conservatory looking out to the fields and the views it really is a wonderful place and I am so glad we found it as we will be back soon I can not recommend this place highly enough.

Brittons hill Cottage is just picture postcard beautiful our children used to refer to it as the three bears Cottage.
when we first viewed the Cottage we opened the gate and just gasped at how perfect it was and were just amazed by the how the cottage was surrounded by stunning views.

What makes this property unique

Brittons hill Cottage was first built in the 15th century and the original lounge with its traditional beams and the romantic bedroom are both original we have added on to the Cottage to make it even more luxurious
The views from the bedrooms and the garden are glorious and we are near to beautiful villages, castles gardens, zoos, and the designer outlet village.
