Incredible house and gardens, we've never stayed anywhere like it. Host was welcoming. Kitchen was well stocked to cook for a large group. The coffee machine, welcome basket, and wine were much appreciated. The place made our holiday.

Extraordinary classic villa

We felt pampered in this huge old (1826) villa. The rooms are large with soaring ceilings. Many of the furnishings are gorgeous antiques; every bedroom has a large bathroom.The grand piano was played every day with amazing sound acoustics. The gardens and grounds are extensive and are like a private arboretum. But most interesting was the history of the place; once we learned who the Brandy’s were we saw their influence all over Funchal. An unexpectedly extraordinary six night stay we will never forget.
