A Brilliant place to stay

This is a lovely property every bit as good as the pictures on the website. Situated in a lovely part of France and with a lovely garden and view. Every room is beautifully presented and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. Vanessa and Dominique were fantastic hosts, they were so helpful and always easily contacted. The house and pool are magnificent. The countryside setting is divine, so tranquil and peaceful, often the only noise that can be heard is the singing of the birds.... bliss!! An amazing holiday - a big thank you to Vanessa and Dominique!

Family holiday

We spent the most relaxing two weeks in this amazing house. So much room for 7 adults and two dogs.. the garden is amazing and a beautiful place to relax and read a book. Vanessa and Dominique are lovely hosts and always available to help and answer questions and give advice on the best boulangerie or places to visit. We particularly enjoyed playing Perigord monopoly in the evening, perhaps sometimes translating the french to suit ourselves 😆 Thank you. Your house and garden is beautiful.

Incredible!

Nothing shy of stunning. My family and I stayed in the May half term recently. Everything you could need to make it a wonderful stay is provided. The pool is spotless, the house the same. The pool table is as true as you'd get in any snooker hall. The seating areas provide plenty of break out spaces for those who want a quite time away from the group. The kitchen is very well equipped. The house is a little remote, so be prepared for a short car drive to the supermarkets and restaurants. The internet was quite stable, but with a house of this size, naturally it wont reach all areas of the building. Maybe a WIFI booster would be nice addition to be able to stream music etc from the pool area. The only thing I would have changed, I didn't ask about the history of this wonderful old house. I'm sure it has a story to tell! Cant wait to return.

Très jolie maison avec de belles prestations et un hôte TRÈS disponible et courtois.Attention toutefois à certains points désagréables : rien pour suspendre les vêtements dans certaines chambres, portes-fenêtres et fenêtres qui ne ferment pas à clé, store et quelques appliques lumineuses HS, terrasse non sécurisée par une rambarde pour les jeunes enfants et traversée par une fissure qui rend table et chaises bancales, linge propre mais taché, ménage inégal, certains extérieurs mal entretenus comme la végétation desséchée autour de la terrasse ou les figues qui pourrissent au pied du figuier attirant les guêpes et dans lesquelles on marche en sortant des voitures.

Bonjour Pascale merci de vos remarques qui nous permettent d’améliorer la maison et de garantir le meilleur à nos hôtes. Il y a des penderie dans toutes les chambres sans exception (une plus petite dans la chambre familiale mais elle est équipée d’un grand placard mural). Concernant l’entretien du jardin de 4000m2, nous faisons le choix de ne pas déranger les vacanciers en venant enlever les figues qui tombent tous les jours. L’entretien est donc, de ce fait, hebdomadaire sauf si l’on nous signale un désagrément; dans ce cas, nous intervenons immédiatement. Enfin, la terrasse n’a pas besoin d’être sécurisée pour de jeunes enfants car elle fait moins d’1metre de haut. Il me semble que vous êtes venus sans enfants d’ailleurs. Nous sommes très très attentifs à la sécurité des enfants depuis 13 ans. Quant au linge et au ménage, nous faisons toujours le maximum mais une maison de 400m2 peut toujours révéler quelques imperfections ! Au plaisir Vanessa et Dominique

Mooie locatie en Dominique is een zeer vriendelijke gastheer. Huis is sfeervol, erg groot, grote tuin, heeft veel privacy en is dus zeer geschikt voor groot gezelschap. Ook met wat minder weer is er veel te doen (tafeltennis, biljard, zwembad). Wij kunnen een verblijf in Bussac (F) dus van harte aanbevelen.

Nous nous sommes régalés dans cette maison très confortable: chaque couple bénéficiait d'une salle de bain et des toilettes privées attenant à leur chambre. Nous sommes une famille de 12 personnes, tous très heureux de nous retrouver pour un long week-end d’octobre dans une grande maison. Malheureusement cette demeure de maître s’est révélée très rustique, froide ( pas de bois pour faire un bon feu), et surtout mal entretenue. De plus les propriétaires, vivants à 16000 km, n’ont pas pu intervenir pour résoudre les différents problèmes survenus au cours de notre séjour et c’est bien dommage. Cependant, cette propriété, bien placée en Dordogne, est grande, calme, et bien équipée pour que petits et grands puissent s’amuser.

C'est bien la 1ère fois en 12 ans que l'on nous dit que la maison est mal entretenue. Ces vacanciers se sont montrés très procéduriers dès leur arrivée afin d'obtenir un remboursement, alors qu'ils ont payé 15 euros la nuit par personne! En effet, le bois n'est pas fourni pour la cheminée car nous n'autorisons que les bûches compactées par sécurité. Nous n'étions certes pas sur place mais nos parents vivent à côté et sont immédiatement intervenus pour appeler le couvreur suite à une petite infiltration (après 3 mois de pluie et des inondations dans toute la France, qui peut s prévaloir de ne pas avoir d'humidité dans une maison de 400m2 à la campagne?). Le couvreur est ainsi intervenu le lendemain même soit UN SAMEDI (ce qui est très rarement possible au pied levé et le week-end). Nous faisons toujours notre maximum pour régler tous les pbs au plus vite pour la satisfaction totale des vacanciers. Pour le reste, nos futurs hôtes peuvent consulter les autres appréciations de vacanciers, Vanessa et Dominique

Great place!

Highly recommend this property, very spacious and has everything you need on holiday, perfect rural location, but only a short drive to shops and towns. Dominique & Vanessa are fantastic hosts, very helpful and entertaining (Dominique is great at pool too). Thanks for a great holiday, hopefully be back again soon.

Bonjour Marion, Nous sommes très étonnés de votre appréciation car vous ne nous avez jamais demandé des transats supplémentaires : nous avons 12 au total mais il ne sont pas tous autour de la piscine pour laisser de l'espace. Nous en laissons entre 6 et 8 et stockons les autres dans l'arrière garage. Quel dommage car la satisfaction des vacanciers est notre priorité! J'espère que vous avez apprécié votre séjour néanmoins.
