Come visit the Villas of South Padre Island in style while staying at 6408 Fountainway Dr. This 4 bedroom 3 1/2 bath Villa offers a contemporary luxurious feel that you might not expect while visiting the world's longest barrier island. This home entails two bedrooms with queen beds and another two bedrooms with two twin beds. This makes for a comfortable sleeping arrangement for 8 and is ideal for two families of four. The kitchen is stocked full of stainless steel appliances and has plenty of kitchen ware to accommodate all of your culinary needs. The Villas of South Padre offers private beach access, tennis courts, and a community pool area. However, you won't need to visit the community pool since 6408 Fountainway Dr. has it's own private pool.

This home is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach, Sea Turtle Rescue, South Padre Island Nature and Birding Center and Texas' biggest beach bar Clayton's. Enjoy Clayton's firework display from the beach every Friday and Saturday from memorial day to labor day. The house was great for 8 people (4 bedrooms, 3 baths). Loved the pool and back patio area. Outdoor shower and bathroom available from pool area were also great. Private beach access (walkable). Loved our vacation here together.

Beautiful Home near the beach

This is our second year staying in this home and it was a great experience. We vacation with friends to SPI every summer and this home fits all of our needs. We each have 2 kids so the 4 rooms are perfect. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and we love that the neighbor is small and gated.

Perfect Padre Getaway

We had an amazing stay at this house. It's a short walk to the private beach, and then after you get waterlogged or need to chill out at home, there is a beautiful pool to lounge in! Our kids loved it and so did the adults. The beds are comfy; the bathrooms have plenty of towels. We didn't cook a big meal, but the kitchen was stocked enough for us, with no problem. The house didn't have the dings and nicks that some rentals have, which is so nice and makes us feel more at home. Overall, great!

Pool featured in ads for this property does not work. Interior had problems.

We found the pool water dirty and cold when we arrived. The water was brackish and many leaves in and around the pool. It had been raining, but the pool did not look as though it had been maintained for some time due to the condition of the water. The maintenance worker stopped by and advised that the owner decided not to fix the pool heater due to cost. This and the lack of cleanliness effectively makes the pool unusable in the winter months. We were not informed of this when we made the reservation or at check in. SPI advised they knew nothing of this when we notified them, and refused to adjust our daily rate to match a comparable rental that did not have a pool. We could have saved up to 50% on a rental without a pool/hot tub OR we could have rented a place with a working pool/hot tub. The inside of the rental was average. Beds were old and lumpy and it appeared the home had not been rented or cleaned for some time - rings around toilet bowls, muddy puddles in several locations on the patios, lamps did not work in upstairs bedrooms. Overall, we had a good time with family in spite of the poor quallity and false claims in the ad about the amenities available. Definitely not worth the price! We want to trust VRBO, but this experience is making us gun-shy about renting from site in the future. Please make sure info in ads is current and accurate.

Better than we expected!

We stayed here for a girls trip with 7 women, and the house was perfect - a very comfortable and updated home, and you can't beat the location! It's such a short walk to the beach and an easy drive to anything else on the island! We also appreciated that past renters had left beach gear in the garage so we used the chairs and wagon. Also, SPI responded so quickly when we had an issue with the A/C - it was fixed before we went to bed!

Beautiful Home and Relaxing stay

This is the THIRD year that we have stayed at this home and we have never been disappointed. It is a beautiful and relaxing home and every need that you might have is met. The convenience of having our own private pool and the easy access to the Beach is an added plus. You need not look any further. THIS is the house you will want to book.

My family of 10 stayed 6 days here and had a great time! The house was super clean and well equipped. The only issue we had was not having enough hot water for showers. The house needs 2 water heaters. All in all a great stay!

Beautiful Place!

My family of 8 just rented this beautiful house to celebrate for Thanksgiving. The place was beautiful and seemed to have fixed most of the negative issues I read about. There is NO heating elements to the pool so if you know that going in you won't be upset. The kitchen could use a few more baking dishes but technically I knew that going in as well. The only thing I would suggest is to store more blankets for back ups. Other than that, this was a PERFECT place to spend a vacation. Super safe location and right next to the beach. BOOK THIS PLACE, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Nice Get Away

My husband and I spent 6 nights in the Fountain Way property. It was very clean and well equipped for cooking. I was disappointed in my husband for not realizing the pool wasn't heated and no hot tub heater. The property showed some wear but it was quiet and very close to the beach so no major concern. The hot water was not working and after a call a repair man came promptly and fixed it. Overall a great experience.

Great location and neighborhood, very nice house

We loved this property. The easy neighborhood access to the beach was so convenient. It was a very nice, gated community and we felt very safe and comfortable. The house had almost everything we needed. The set up was great for our family. The one thing the property could use is a larger skillet/frying pan and a large pot. We had 8 people and it would have helped to have larger pots and pans. The grill also did not work properly, which was disappointing, but not the end of the world. Overall it was a great property for a beach vacation and we would stay here again.

Overall the house was in a great location on the island and a in a great neighborhood.

There are a few things I would recommend for this property. I asked if pool towels were provided and was told “yes”. Well guess what - no pool towels so I had to go buy some. Also there were no chaise chairs around the pool. Which was very disappointing. I’m not sure what I was supposed to use to lay on but I’m too old for a towel on the concrete. Also the kitchen could use some baking pans or something to use in the oven as there were no baking sheets to use. My other issue was with the owner due to the fact I originally rented this house the last of March for spring break but COVID hit and was on travel restrictions. I asked for a refund and was denied and only given to the end of the year to move my date or I was told I would forfeit my money. As a family of 6 and college kids it was very challenging to find a date by the end of the year. I did end up going for fall break without my whole family due to breaks not matching up. Then to top it all off there was about an $700 difference in price and at no surprise the owner did not refund me the difference. Obviously the owner is all about making money and not in it for the customer experience which is sad as I have rented many houses and appreciate the owner checking in and making sure everything is going well or at least the renting company and in this case it would have been SPI.

Nice House ...

We received “no contact” check in instructions a s we pulled up to SPI rentals parking lot. A bit late. House is beautiful. We had problem with A/C and water heater, but they were fixed promptly once reported. The Fridge dispenser does not work - not a problem for us. House is well stocked with everything you need. We were unable to sleep in same bed as if one person moved the other woke up, but again we managed. The house is very close to beach - and we felt very safe and comfortable there.

Perfect for Family Get-Away

This property is perfect. The online description does not do it justice. It is amazing. It's walking distance to the beach, easy access to restaurants and stores, spacious interior, great exterior grounds, and perfect sized pool. We will definitely return.

Great Place to Social Distance

We loved our stay at this wonderful property! Everything was beautiful and exactly as pictured. Short walk to the beach, private entry which helps keep it from being too crowded. The pool was a great way to keep the kids entertained while the adults could just relax after a long day in the sun! We are looking forward to staying at this home again!
