About this property
Scala Glen Cottage, Hebden, Yorkshire Dales
All you need for a romantic hideaway, Scala Glen Cottage is a classic Dales cottage sleeping two guests. Deep in the heart of Wharfedale, just two miles from Grassington in one direction and Burnsall in the other, this hideaway is well located within walking distance of the pub and all the hiking you can fit into one day right on your doorstep. Solo travellers will also love welcoming atmosphere and the convenient location of Scala Glen Cottage.
Built in the early 1800s, Scala Glen Cottage boasts an idyllic beck side location within the peaceful picturesque village of Hebden. With private parking, a wood burning stove, bespoke handmade kitchen and a single electric Aga, Scala Glen Cottage makes a delightful home from home. Sympathetically restored to a high standard, the cottage is entered through the main entrance and into the delightful sitting room with original wooden floor, comfortable leather sofa and armchair - perfect for cosy nights in and nibbles around the fire. (Dogs included, should you wish to bring them). Through the Victorian stripped panel doors to the rear of the cottage, is the kitchen. Beautifully designed, this handmade kitchen features stunning craftsmanship and exposed stonework housing an electric Aga, as well as dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
Follow the steep stairs from the sitting room to the first floor where the master bedroom entices you to rest well on the 5' king-size bed overlooking the front of the cottage towards the beck. This room is served by a tastefully decorated shower room with walk-in shower. You'll look forward to retiring here after a busy day in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The cottage itself sits over a small bridge set away from the main road in a quiet part of Hebden. Outside seating for two guests can be found to the front of the cottage, making the perfect place to catch the sun or share a romantic evening under the stars. The Clarendon offers locally sourced homemade food and is only a three minute walk away, or head to Grassington for a whole host of independent shops and eateries, you may be lucky enough to visit during filming for All Creatures Great and Small!
Additional Information:
Initial small supply of logs.
Pillows and duvets are synthetic.
One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge).
