🏡 The Cottage Built in 1885, Flint Cottage blends period character with modern comforts. Just three minutes’ walk from Littlehampton’s sandy, award-winning beach, it’s a welcoming base for families, friends, or business travellers.
🌊 Location Littlehampton is one of the sunniest seaside towns in the UK. The beach stretches half a kilometre at low tide, and the town centre is a five-minute walk from shops and restaurants. The South Downs National Park is a short drive away, offering countryside walks and the chance to spot ponies.
🛏 Bedrooms The cottage sleeps up to five across two rooms. The master has a double bed, ensuite shower, desk, and blackout curtains. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a double below and single above, plus a desk and blackout curtains.
🛋 Living Space The lounge has two sofas (one converts to a double bed), blackout curtains, a large OLED TV with Google TV, PlayStation, and board games. Fast fibre Wi-Fi runs throughout the house.
🍽 Kitchen & Dining The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, cookware, and utensils. There’s also a washing machine for longer stays. A pull-out dining table with chairs for five makes it easy for families and friends to eat together. Complimentary tea, coffee, cereal, and milk are provided for your first breakfast.
🌸 Courtyard Garden Outside, enjoy Tess’s handmade mosaic table among her favourite plants. A sunny spot for morning coffee, evening drinks, or a barbecue.

⚠️ Things to Note
🚶 Steep Stairs The cottage dates back to 1885, and the stairs are steeper than in modern houses. This may not suit anyone with mobility issues.
🚿 Bathrooms There is one ensuite shower room in the master bedroom and a small WC downstairs. Groups will need to be comfortable sharing.
🚗 Parking Free on-street parking is usually available nearby. On very busy days such as bank holidays, we’ll try to move one of our cars so you can take our spot.
👩⚕️ Your Hosts We’re NHS doctors living next door. You’ll have full privacy, but we’re nearby if needed. We’ve hosted for four years and love sharing our cottage with guests while learning from our own travels.

Why they chose this property
Littlehampton (LA) is a lovely seaside town and one of the sunniest places in the UK. It’s quieter than many of its neighbouring seaside escapes. The sandy beach stretches out for about 0.5km when the tide is out. Our road is generally tranquil with no traffic. We love our location as the beach is a few minutes away, and the town for shops and restaurants is about a five-minute walk. LA has lots to do with water sports, mini-golf, tennis courts, amusement parks, cinema, and many cafes and restaurants. If you like the countryside, there are some great walks about a 10-minute drive from the house, which we have recommended in our welcome pack.
