About this property
5 Star, Cosy, characterful thatch cottage in a designated area of natural beauty
Moorlands cottage is located on the west of the island in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The peaceful location, access to beach, and beautiful cottage garden make it an ideal getaway for families. For those wanting an active getaway, the cottage is surrounded by walking and cycling tracks along the coast or into the downs as well as Brighstone Forest and TennysonTrail.
The village of Brighstone is amongst the most picturesque on the island and has a very well stocked shop specialising in fresh produce from the island. For a well-deserved night off the village pub, The Three Bishops, has an extensive menu and welcomes children.
The local tea shop also serves a delicious cream tea or light lunch.
The popular areas of Freshwater, Alum Bay, and Yarmouth are approximately 10 mims drive away.
Our picture perfect 3 bedroom cottage (sleeps 6) has a vaulted ceiling, modern kitchen complete with a Dualit toaster, coffee machine, range oven, microwave, dishwasher, and wine fridge. It is kitted out with everything you need to make anything from a slice of toast to a roast dinner. Off the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine and a toilet.
To ensure a relaxing night in the cottage has a cosy sitting room with Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, and Xbox. It also has a games room that has a pool table that can easily be converted into table tennis as well as a large selection of board games, books, and toys. Our bathroom is equipped with a shower and a luxurious roll top bath to unwind after a busy day.
For long summer evenings, the pretty cottage garden makes for an idilic place to unwind with a drink by the stream, enjoy alfresco dining, or just do a spot of star gazing from the patio sofa.
Our cosy 2 double bedrooms are perfect for a good nights sleep with memory foam matresses and high quality linen and towels. Third is also a bunk bed room for the children.
We look forward to welcoming you to Moorlands!

Why they chose this property
We loved Moorlands from the first moment we saw it. As soon as we walked through the back door we felt like we where home. Brightstone and the cottage couldn't be more different from our life in London and we are fortunate to be able to visit often and enjoy the peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
Being nature lovers we delight in exploring the garden to see what is growing and who is visiting, we have a resident red squirel, and robin as well as lots of other visiting birds, including the occasional visit from an owl.
The location of the cottage provides us with the fresh air, and open space that we find truley rejuvinating after 15 years in the hustle of London.
