Featuring exposed beams, a traditional inglenook fireplace and rustic styling throughout, The Beekeeper's Cottage is a sensory delight. Located in the village of Barney, this former 18th century bakehouse makes an idyllic romantic hideaway perfect for couples, or a family, to escape to at any time of the year, with the added bonus of an enclosed garden and secure bike storage.
Completely renovated to a high standard in 2022, the cottage is beautifully appointed with emphasis on a calm colour palette that compliments the sophisticated country styling. Curated using a mixture of antique and restored furniture, the aura of the cottage is relaxed and ultra comfortable. Curved walls, bleached oak beams, vaulted ceilings and delicate muted details calm the soul. The streamlined galley kitchen provides plenty of Quartz worktop space creating the ideal stage for any enthusiastic chefs to rustle up a meal using delicious local produce. Two separate seating areas are available. The sitting room features a large comfortable sofa set in front of a charming inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, and the garden room with additional seating overlooks the lawn to the rear of the cottage. Smart televisions are provided in each of the rooms. A delightful spacious dining room provides seating for up to four guests around a farmhouse table. As is traditional for properties of this era, a bathroom is situated on the ground floor. Here a smart and contemporary shower room features a walk-in shower.
An artistically carved tree branch handrail assists you as you climb the stairs to the first floor where two bedrooms are situated. The master bedroom hosts a double bed to a backdrop of stunning original oak beams. The second bedroom offers full-size twin beds dressed in fine linen with plush furnishings. The bedrooms are served by a convenient water closet nestled between. Outside, to the back of the cottage, a garden area with table and seating for four guests invites you to dine al fresco on balmy evenings. The garden is enclosed creating a safe place for the dog to play. Off-road parking for one car is available to the side of the cottage. Further parking is available on the village road. The cottage boasts a secure bike shed, should you wish to bring your own bikes.
