PRIVATE POOL PRIVATE HOME at peaceful Palm Island-Coconut Cottage! <br><br>

Fully updated, private, peaceful getaway on Palm Island! This is a single family home with your very own resort style PRIVATE POOL. Our guests have property and pool to themselves during their stay. The home is rented as a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom home. Great for a couples getaway. The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and two night stands for drawer space. 5 min walk, 2 min golf cart ride to the beautiful white sand beaches. The preferred method of transportation on island is a golf cart. We suggest Thoroughbred carts on the mainland. They will deliver a cart to the property on your arrival date. The carts book quickly so be sure to book in advance. The island is accessible by car ferry or boat (located between Sarasota and Fort Myers… right next to Boca Grand) offers the serenity of an island paradise and only minutes from the mainland. Airports closest are RSW (Fort Myers), SRQ (Sarasota) and Punta Gorda which offers reasonably priced direct flights through Allegiant Airlines. The island offers 7 miles of pristine beach for long walks, great fishing, shelling, and swimming. The home features gorgeous tropical landscaping with your very own beach entry swimming pool, screened lanai, Weber bar-b-q grill and fire pit. There is a Publix located on the mainland about 5 minutes from the ferry dock. Best to buy all groceries on the mainland. There is a small island store with limited options for any items you may forget. There’s also an ice cream shop, Coconuts and one casual restaurant, Rum Bay. Ferry information can be found at palmislandtransit.com. We do not accommodate same day check-in and check-out. The cleanliness of our property is extremely important to us. We need to give our cleaning crew an appropriate amount of time to have everything thoroughly cleaned. Due to this, if you are considering booking our property please make sure you are not requesting to check- in the same day a guest is checking out. As we can not accommodate. The island is a very special and unique place. We know you will be very happy with your choice to visit our little paradise. We are always happy to answer any island questions.

Perfect Place for Couples Vacation

This was our second time staying here. The second time was just as perfect as the first time. The house is set up to be very comfortable and maximize relaxation! The pool area has plenty of different seating both in the sun and shade. Thanks to the hosts for another great trip we will be back!

Beautiful updated pool house

The home is very comfortable, updates throughout, well decorated, and kitchen was very well stocked. Shawn and Brandy were very accommodating hosts, very responsive when questions arose before and during our stay. We especially enjoyed the very private pool area and screen porch off the back of the house. The home is conveniently located within a short walk to the beach. This is a perfect spot for couples, super clean property, we hope to be back!

Paradise Island!

This house is amazing, clean, spacious, and has anything you need…the island is gorgeous. It’s so quiet and tranquil and really makes you fall in love with the whole place. The owners are so thoughtful in making this vacation the best ever, Brandy and Shawn always respond quick and are lovely! ♥️♥️♥️ We can’t wait to come back again!

Absolutely love this house! Communication with the owners is always prompt! Slight issue with the pool heater and they handled it very quickly. We have stayed here before and will definitely be back.

We were there for some much needed R & R. Everything went flawlessly. Check in was super easy, everything was as advertised. Very comfortable house in a nice neighborhood. Saw some turtles and found a lot of shark teeth on the beach.

Excellent Accommodations

It was great staying here for our week on the island. We thoroughly enjoyed the house inside and out. Everything we needed was there and very well cared for. Not only was it great having the pool, it was an extra bonus because of red tide. Shawn and Brandy are super hosts! We can not think of anything negative to say about our stay here.

We have been enjoying Palm Island for over 20+ years. Great location, owners are very accommodating, we hate to leave to good of a review because it will make it more difficult to rent this great property again. Best 5 days.

Loved the island...sooo many wonderful/helpful islanders. Great place to kick back, totally relax and enjoy what the island has to offer! Don't hesitate,,,,pack your bags and go!!! The home was very private with updated decorating and beautiful art work! We have enjoyed many VRBO homes and agreed this one was a very special experience!

Paradise

Palm Island is a special place to relax and get away from it all. The house was well-appointed and beautifully decorated. The two balconies and lower outside area guaranteed that you have a shady spot to sit in the breeze. The hosts were fantastic with communication and answering questions promptly. You can tell from their interactions that they genuinely want you to enjoy your time at their place. We highly recommend renting a golf cart to explore the island. Can’t wait to return.

Peaceful romantic getaway for two.

We stayed 5 nights in this Palm Island Cottage. The home was exactly as listed. We found it to be exceptionally clean and beautifully updated. As advised, we stopped by the Publix to stock up for the week before crossing on the ferry. The ferry costed $55 and the process was quick and easy. The island itself is very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed this chance to get away from the busyness of everyday life. Thank you Brandy and Shawn for your hospitality!

Nothing lacking

It was beautiful. Clean. Welcoming. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching an Osprey building a nest in a high tree. We lived on the back screened-in porch. Spent hours by the pool. Grilled our dinners on the gas grill. Nothing lacking.

Paradise island!

This is the place to come for a quiet, relaxing vacation! The island is gorgeous, the house was immaculate and smelled fantastic, it was super fancy and we loved every second of it! Even the shower was amazing! Not to mention the pool, greatest place to just chill out and relax. Usually I don’t relax on vacation but this island forced me to relax and it was the best thing for me and my husband! Brandy and Shawn are excellent hosts and stock the house to the gills with all your staples. The barge ride over was so much fun, the golf cart rental was a must, and their grill at the house is to die for. Seriously cannot wait to visit again, for two weeks instead of one! ❤️❤️

Island gem

We had a wonderful stay on Palm Island! The home is very clean, modern and well-appointed. The pool and outdoor areas were great. Communication with the owners was superb. Even though you have to take your car across a super short ferry, the process is very quick and easy. Wish we would have rented a golf cart to get around the island better but it’s totally doable with just a vehicle. The island is quiet and the perfect place for relaxing. One small restaurant/gift shop at Palm Island Resort but it made for a nice lunch spot. We didn’t find a deck of cards or board games so I would recommend packing some if you enjoy playing. You won’t regret picking this home for your vacation!

Amazing Anniversary trip!

It was a perfect anniversary trip. The house was perfect and spotless. The pool was amazing. The landscaping around the pool was like you were on your own little island. We rented a golf cart from Coconuts and never drove the car around again. The golf cart was so fun. We saw gopher turtles and iguanas while driving around. The beach was beautiful with lots of space for everyone. It wasn’t crowded at all. The amazing swinging chairs on the back porch were the best things I have ever sat in. The sheets on the bed were the softest ever. The trip was perfect! Not a single complaint from us. Shawn and Brandy are amazing hosts who will try to do anything to help you have a great trip! We were there during the software glitch, and they were so kind telling us to relax and enjoy the remainder of the trip and they would totally accommodate us. Thankfully, flights were opened back up on Saturday, but how kind was that?? I miss the house, pool, and tranquil island so badly! I hope someday we can go back.

Great getaway for two!

My wife and I rented this property for 2 weeks. The house is beautiful inside and out. We used the heated pool almost everyday. Complete privacy in the backyard. Very little traffic on the street, so it was pretty quiet day and night. We didn't rent a golf cart, just drove our vehicle to Rum Bay once for dinner and once to Coconuts to get some snacks. We hit the local Walmart before getting on the ferry to stock up on food and snacks for our stay. We drove around the island once to check out the homes and went to the beach once. We spent most of our time at the house getting sun and enjoying the pool. I'm typically a busybody, so this was a good chance for me to really relax for a change. Shawn was great to work with and was always really quick to respond with my questions. This is a great property for two people to getaway and have privacy. That was the part we enjoyed the most. Thank you Shawn for allowing us to stay in your home! We really enjoyed our 2 weeks!

Great location, not great accommodations…..

Positives: location, Check-in Negatives: No home rule book.Outside areas filthy to include furniture, ping pong table, grill. Pool floaters flat, melted, unusable, rear tires on both bikes completely flat, unusable. Renovations are not recent as in pics. Pool not heated as advertised, on arrival pool 49F, day 3 65F, after pool person responded got to 85F one day, making pool unusable. Advertises jetted tub but not accessible to us, bed has dirty egg crate mattress cover w/sheets that don’t fit. Fridge/Freezer/Pantry: full of used food, no room for us, filthy. Multiple bottles of open alcohol also unwanted in kitchen. Recliner/couch: nearly impossible to collapse when extended, junk. Wi-Fi: spotty at best. Totally lost for several hours one day. Owner texted can’t help, has COVID, and he was in the home the day of our arrival. I spent 36 hours very sick on day 2/3. States 2 nightstands for storage in bedroom but 1 in closet. House feels like hoarder home with decor and we had to keep things in our bags for storage. Worst nightmare ever. RENTERS BEWARE…. We, as a practice, always take photos/videos on arrival and departure to document conditions. We were accused of breaking a globe, damaging walls with small holes, chips on table. We have video to show owners lied with photos before and after. Worst home and owners ever. When we provided them evidence, they become hostile and stopped communicating. Owners are scammers, pics lie and are from 2014 per Shawn, no updates.
