The bothy is a detached 2 bedroomed property on the outskirts of Beadnell village. The cosy lounge leads out onto a covered patio area with rocking chair seat where you can enjoy a glass of wine whilst soaking in the sunsets. There is a large double bedroom and a twin bedded room. The family bathroom has a walk in shower and separate bath.

Happy Days

Great break at Mains Cottages again, 16th visit. Humans and dogs had a lovely week. Owner Sam is very welcoming and nothing is any bother.

Good but could be amazing!

The Bothy is in a great location, close to the charming village and harbour and the holiday app is a great little addition, full of useful information about the accomodation and surrounding area BUT please get rid of the chipped crockery, sweep the verandah area, clean the debris and dog hairs from the kitchen drawers and get rid of the huge, dusty cobwebs in the bedroom then it will be fabulous! I'm sure that looking after several holiday lets is a demanding job but this could be an absolute gem in a market with lots of competition.

Fabulous location

Nice, comfortable cottage, within walking distance of the beach, and handy for a good pub & several café’s & restaurant’s. Within a short car ride of Seahouses & Bamburgh Castle.

Lovely setting

Cottage is in a lovely setting with great views from the garden and patio. It's just a short walk to Beadnell village and beach but far enough away to feel secluded and it is not overlooked by the other cottages. It was great sitting on the patio watching the wildlife and some wonderful sunsets. The cottage is roomy enough but also very cosy and the furniture and bed were really comfortable. On the downside, the kitchen could be better equipped for the wet days when you need to stay in and make a meal. Also, the bathroom - especially around the edges of the floor - didn't look particularly clean.

Escape to the Northumberland coast

We loved staying in the beautiful cosy cottage. The views were stunning & it was the perfect base for touring the Northumberland coast. The host was friendly and very helpful.

Excellent Stay

My 4th visit to the Bothy & already booked again for next year, love this place & my favourite country pub just down the road with brilliant beer garden & nice food. Plenty of places nearby to visit, what’s not to like

A lovely little hideaway

We absolutely loved our little hideaway & so much so we have booked again for next year!! We loved our welcome treats & beautiful little home with the most amazing views. It offered tranquility & a comfortable space for 4 adults & a dog. We could easily walk to meet our friends staying at the caravan site & to the pubs & beach. Thank you to all the Team at Mains Cottages - we will be back!!

Bank Holiday visit.

Our 3rd visit to The Bothy, and it didn't disappoint. Very well equipped, great views over the fields towards Bambrough Castle. Very comfortable beds, and Polly the Pointer loved Grandma's treats. So good we have recommended it to our neighbours who are due to visit shortly.

A Wedding Weekend

An excellent weekend at the Bothy convenient for Beadnell Beach and Newton Hall for a family wedding. Accommodation was warm and comfortable and had everything in it for us to have an enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend staying here to enjoy the Northumberland coast and countryside.

Our stay at the Bothy

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable well equipped cottage dogs very welcome and catered for. Welcome pack of wine and cake and treats for Millie our dog a ,nice thought , good location with views of countryside and sea. We look forward to returning in the future. Ann and Tony

Lovely accommodation in a perfect spot

This was the first of hopefully many stays at Mains Cottages. The welcome provided on site was lovely and we were blown away by the cottage - the kitchen is small but functional - however the rest of the cottage was perfect for our needs. No corners have been cut, this is a real home from home. If you’re thinking of going to Beadnell, this is the place to stay .

I just love coming to this gorgeous comfy and clean cottage, every thing you need is in it, wonderful welcome pack and the hosts are very welcoming.. I love it so much I've booked it for 5 times this year
