What a fun and unique property! We really enjoyed the open air concept and style/design of the home! It felt like a tree house in the jungle! It was very clean and set up perfectly for an enjoyable time! All the bedrooms were closed off and had air conditioning! We really enjoyed the pool as well! Our host was so very helpful and responsive! Helping us pick activities, providing us grocery delivery and was available to quickly answer any questions- it was exceptional!

About the host

Hosted by Alfonso Araya Rojas

Host profile image
I am a very kind and active person who loves meeting new people and sharing experiences with them. I always strive to ensure my guests have every comfort they need, so they feel even better than they do at home.
I am always ready to help and available for whatever you may need. I truly believe that a great vacation should always include time to rest, stay active, and have fun.

Why they chose this property

Casa Rústica is located within a working farm where we grow various crops such as cassava, cacao, eddoes, and sugarcane, along with a variety of fruit and timber trees. It is very common to hear the songs of many different bird species from the house's balconies, which wrap around the entire property.

What makes this property unique

I (Alfonso) built Casa Rústica myself over the course of four years, using timber sourced directly from our farm. My vision was to create a home that truly feels like part of nature; that’s why it features balconies on all sides, allowing you to observe plants, trees, and birds from every corner. It is a place of immense peace and tranquility, with areas designed specifically for relaxation. Plus, thanks to its design, the house stays naturally cool and fresh all year round, regardless of the season.
