We call this well decorated lake house “Wandeerlust”. Located on beautiful Deer Lake which, is 40 minutes north of Spokane, WA. Enjoy the stunning sunsets and sunrises with panoramic views of the water and mountains.
Sleeping arrangements: Master bedroom features a queen sized bed and flat panel TV. Upstairs loft features two beds (a double and a twin, side by side) and a large shared closet. Technically, VRBO considers this a 3rd bedroom, but we don’t have it listed that way on purpose, as we want to make sure you know that there’s no privacy between the two beds. The cabin is most comfortable for 5 guests but can accommodate up to 6 in beds.
Linens: Your beds will bed freshly made just prior to your arrival, including two pillows for each guest. Freshly laundered bath towels, hand towel, face towel and kitchen towel will also be provided.
Kitchen: The fully-stocked gourmet kitchen features white cabinetry and includes pots, pans, toaster, microwave, Instant Pot, Keurig coffee maker and blender, cooking utensils and some seasonings. We will leave you a dozen of our favorite K-cups, but feel free to bring your own stash of coffee and seasonings as well!
Dining: There are two indoor dining spaces. One is the corner nook that technically sleeps up to 6, but we think that’s awfully snug and we recommend 4. The other area doubles as the butcher block island with 4 stools.
Family room: Sectional reclining sofa with fireplace, flat panel smart TV and views of the lake. In the space that’s adjacent the sectional is the click-clack mentioned above.
BBQ: The BBQ is a Traeger Pellet Grill which has 6-in-1 ability to grill, smoke, bake, roast, braise, and bbq. We’ll leave you a fully stocked hopper as well as an extra container of pellets, just in case you like to BBQ as often as we do and in case you’re not familiar with these awesome grills
The Deck: Enjoy your morning coffee and relax on the deck with panoramic views of Deer Lake. There’s a propane fire pit on the deck and we’ll make sure that you have a full tank of propane waiting for you. At the water’s edge, there’s also a natural wood burning fire pit. If you want to use that one, you should bring as much firewood with you as you’d like to use, which you can usually pick up in Deer Park on the way to the cabin.
The Dock: The private wooden dock is a great place to spend the day relaxing, jumping and swimming.
Watercraft: If you want to bring motorized watercraft, message us prior to booking so we can talk about the size of your boat, number of skis, moorage, and trailer parking. Guests are expected to adhere to boating safety laws and lake etiquette, including observing the no-wake zone. Extra fees will apply.
Dogs: If you want to bring your dog with you, message us prior to booking with the size of your dog and their level of training. Guest are expected to keep their dog on a leash when outside the property lines and to pick up after them. Extra fees will apply.
Parking: Parking is tight at Deer Lake and this property is no exception. Two spaces are included. JUST TWO. There’s no overflow parking, no remote partaking lot, no asking the neighbors for favors. If you arrive with extra vehicles, you’ll be “up a creek”, as they say.
Smoking: This is a NON-SMOKING rental, this includes both inside and outside
Quiet Time: Outside quiet time starts @ 10 pm. If you want to enjoy the dock late at night, just be considerate of our neighbors. Outside quiet time starts @ 10 pm. Outside quiet time starts @ 10 pm. If you want to enjoy the deck or dock late at night, just be considerate of our neighbors.

This little place was well-equipped, super cute and situated right on this quiet lake. Really cute décor and had a traeger grill as well as a fire pit on the patio. Was the perfect getaway for my husband and I to get away from it all.

This lake house was more than we expected! It was absolutely beautiful! It was spotless when we got there, everything it said it had, was there, the view was absolutely STUNNING & Billie, the owner was AMAZING!!!!! Billie went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, she got me a refund for the dryer going out right before we arrived because she said it was the “right thing to do!” It turned into a bit of a fiasco with the refund, but we worked through it & she was just simply amazing! We would definitely rent the lake house again & will for sure rent from Billie again, she was amazing!!!!! Thank you for the memories & hospitality, we will be back

Thank you, Leslie! Appreciate you being easy going about the dryer not working. Sorry it was so complicated getting you a credit for that. I know you didn’t ask for it, but yes, definitely the right thing to do. It’s fixed now, thank goodness! You guys were wonderful guests, our neighbors are as excited for you to come back again as we are. 🙌🏻😍
The cabin was great. Comfortable sleeping arrangements, well stocked kitchen, really enjoyed the patio with fire pit on chilly evenings. Was a very nice retreat from the city.

We had a wonderful stay at Deer Lake in Billie’s cabin. The Cabin is on the water with a beautiful view. We stayed for 10 days over the 4th of July holiday. The Fireworks were outstanding. It was just a wonderful vacation. The Cabin has a gas fire pit and a wood fire pit!!! We enjoyed the hot tub and the outside patio furniture was very comfortable!!!
Billie was available by text to help us with anything we needed. Thanks Billie, we had a great time.

Thank you so much, Dina! you guys were fantastic guests and we hope to have you back again.
Our 2 families stayed here during quarantine to get out of the city. The property was exceptionally clean and communication with the host was awesome. The hot tub on the lake was the perfect end to a long day on the water. We’ll definitely come back here in the future!

Our family had a wonderful week! The property is well equipped with everything you need. The property is in a great location in the narrows so there was less boat traffic which made it easy for my kids to use our kayaks and swim without worry. We loved life on the lake!

Nicely appointed property, right on the water with many amenities. Owners easy to work with and attentive to our needs. On the quiet end of the lake. Very peaceful. I’m happy to recommend this home.

Booked property for 6 adults (said it sleeps 6 adults) but there were only 5 beds, 5 cheap pillows, 5 bath towels. Suppose to be an air bed but it wasn't there. Didn't bring our beach towels because the ad said they would supply them, no beach towels. No kitchen towels, dish rag, or scrubber for dishes. No broom. The BBQ grill didn't have any gas in it. Didn't get the access code for the key lock until 5 minutes before check in. Took several hours after that to get the internet password. House seems like it is still under construction with supplies on side of house.

Hello Marcene, I'm glad that you left a review. We had hoped to have the opportunity to publicly address this little nightmare.
Firstly, as I told you over the phone, you are not welcome back at this property or any of our others. If you are a host reading this, you should definitely not rent to this woman and her group. I wish there were a way for me to attach photos to this response so you could see what they will do to your home. Between the pictures of the damage and truly disgusting condition left behind, and the screenshots of the conversations between us, you would surely then know that no matter what you charge could never be enough to compensate for enduring this madness.
Booking: 6 adults, no pets
Actual: 7 adults + 1 poorly trained dog
The property was indeed missing the air mattress that we promised. I apologize for that oversight. In the future when the homeowner checks in with you on the eve of your arrival, instead of saying "everything is good" consider saying "actually our air mattress is missing". The oversight is all mine, however waiting until you checkout to demand a refund for a missing air mattress is a bit like eating an entire substandard meal before asking for a refund on it.
Pillows: you were the first guests to sleep on those pillows (other than our own family). They're from Kohls and come highly rated by 4218 people giving them 4.5 stars. You might consider traveling with your own pillows if those don't suit.
All of your towels were there. As one of the 4 people who had the pleasure of restoring the property to pre Hurricaine Marcene condition, I can tell you that I counted them myself both before you arrived and after. You may have been missing extras for your undisclosed guests, however.
The kitchen towel is also there. Though it was in the drawer and unused.
The sponge and scrubber was used by you. So obviously it was there.
No broom: this is an accurate statement. There's an electric one there for your use and you very clearly didn't use it, nor the mop. Neither of which is required as a guest, unless you and or your pets create messes that require the use of said items.
The BBQ grill didn't have any gas in it: Correct! There's NO GAS in the grill that you were told NOT to use. There was however a full stock of pellets in the Traeger that was there for your use.
Didn't get the access code for the key lock until 5 minutes before check in. Accurate. We change the code after each guest departs for security purposes and this was told to you. You had the code prior to needing it. And you're welcome for the security of having a unique access code.
Took several hours after that to get the internet password: also accurate, and this is the case because you didn't read your welcome email, which included it.
House seems like it is still under construction with supplies on side of house. I assume you're referring to the four wood planks on the side of our home. What on earth were you doing on the side of our home? Weird.
To anyone else who is reading this, other than the ever-so-charming Marcene...please note that we expect that when you're a guest in our home that you will protect it as if it were your own. I have never considered myself a particular person by any means, but if a destroyed lawn, greasy / black sooty ceilings, counters and floors carmel, raw eggs, dirt, feces and some other unidentifiable substance smeared throughout our cabin panes makes me particular, then color me particular.
Feel free to review the properties listed under properties: 1402750, 612262, 803207 and 1143648. Those are our cabins as well as this one and you will get an accurate sense of the typical relationship and experiences of both renters and us as hosts.
You're always welcome to message me to ask questions about this.
It's rather unfortunate that this is our first renter at Wandeerlust but we will chalk it up to an opportunistic person whom we will not ever rent to again.
