Good location, very clean and well appointed. Only issues we had were communication. We had a 4 hour drive into Catania and kept the host updated throughout the drive with traffic and weather delays. Only then were we told that there would be a fee incurred for checking in late. I reiterated that was not previously communicated so thankfully I was not charged.Similar issues at checkout, the VRBO listing stated 11AM checkout. I received a message from the host stating I needed to be out by 10AM. I had to again refer the host back to their listing to avoid additional charges.

Dear Trevor, We’re very sorry if there were any mistakes in the communication. Normally, we really care a lot about keeping clear communication with our guests, also by giving plenty of tips for their trip beyond just their stay. As I mentioned, since it was our first rental on Vrbo, we got a bit confused with the house rules which are listed on other rental platforms. In any case, there is no extra cost for the check-in at 11:00 — it was only a matter of organization for the arrival of the next guests. if there are no new arrivals, our guests can stay well beyond 11 without any problem. We sincerely apologize again, and I truly hope that Catania and our apartment have left you with good memories.
