The apartment is brand new, spacious and very bright with a fantastic view of Mount Etna, the Mother and the Dome of Catania. It is therefore located in the historic center of Catania, in a very lively artistic and historical context.
It is located on the second floor of a building and has a private entrance and secure private parking in the courtyard of the house with automatic gate.
Two bedrooms with refined furnishings, a bathroom with shower, sink and bidet, as well as another bathroom on the second floor of the bedroom; a large living room and a practical kitchen with table and everything you need; the apartment offers a panoramic terrace with a splendid view of the cathedral of Catania, Mount Etna and the port of Catania, equipped with cushions, table, hammock and parasol.
We offer shower gel, soap, towels, toilet paper, bed linen.
You can reach the main square (Piazza Duomo) and the main street (Via Etnea) in 5 minutes on foot.

Was exactly as advertised, great location and everything you need for a comfortable vacation stay. The view is amazing, the entire city and Etna all in one view. Sylvia was awesome and very attentive to all our needs. I would absolutely stay here again!

The hostess was very helpful. She picked us up at the bus terminal and took us to the property. She found a driver for us so we could leave the property for other activities. She recommended good restaurants. The location was awesome within a few minutes of walking we were in a very Public Square with many restaurants and activities! The apartment was darling! Very clean and had all necessary amenities. The rooftop deck was not very accessible especially for seniors.

Great view of Etna from the terrace

Location of apartment is great for walking around Catania. Roof terrace was lovely place to sit and relax in the sunshine, looking at the views. Silvia was easy to contact and kindly arranged us transfers to and from the airport.

Pros and cons

Pros---1. You cannot beat this location if you want to walk to the sights, market and restaurants. 2. There is onsight parking which is very valuable because parking otherwise is impossible, however the cost of parking onsight is 10 euros per day. 3. Amazing views from the rooftop terrace. Cons---1. The flat is on the third floor so you have to walk up many stairs. 2. The terrace is on the roof so you have to walk up stairs to second level, then tight windy staircase to the roof top. 3.When we arrived I tried to wash a load of clothes but the machine would not rinse or spin . Luckily, the host lives in the next door flat so she took the wash and completed the rinse and spin. She also took one more load of clothes which I needed washed and completed that for me. The repairman came on the day we left so I don't know if the washer is fixed yet. 4. The bathroom vanity needs to be replaced as the top drawer is missing and the second drawer is rotted and broken. 5.There is A/C but the host says you can only use it for 7 hours at a time. If you plan to visit in summer time and stay home, this could be an issue.

Feels like home

A la casa de Silvia, you really feel like at home ! The place has good vibes and is exactly the same as the pictures. The neighborhood is safe and helpful when you are lost and don't know where to go. In addition, you are close to local Restaurants and Pubs by feet. I will definitely come back again ! Lyvia

Tutti Catania at Its Best.

Apartment was bright,spacious and secure. Neighborhood was centrally located with lots of restaurants,and close to the Duomo and the Fish Market. Excellent for exploring Catania. The roof-top terrace with its view of Mt. Etna and the sea was extraordinary!We would stay there again.

Schön zentral

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön ausgestattet und mit moderner Technik versehen. Die Klimaanlage hiflt, wenn es zu heiss wird (was der normale Mitteleuropäer bis Ende Seütember wohl so noch empfindet... In einem Radius von 1 Kilometer finden sich fussläufig beste Restaurants und wer will, kann auch die Studentenkneipen bis tief in die Nacht aufsuchen. Das Highlicht ist die Dachterasse mit Blick auf Vesuv, Dom und Meer und das Häusermeer von Catania. Herrlich, um den Abend bis in die Nacht mit einem schönen Glas Wein und Zigarillo den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. (Steile Wendeltreppe und nichts für kleine Kinder!) Es gibt auch einen Platz für ein Auto, allerdings sollte sich jeder genau überlegen, ob er sich - vollkaskoversichert! - dazu hinreißen läßt, in Catania selbst mit dem Auto zu fahren. Taxi zum Strand EUR 15, zum Flughafen EUR 25 und auch ansonsten eine gute Wahl, wenn es zu Fuß zu weit ist. Wir können die Wohnung nur empfehlen, nur mit der Konversation ist es ein kleines Problem, aber das ist überall in Catania so, dass man mit Englisch nicht wirklich weiterkommt...
