About this property
Bear Mountain Hideaway, Cabin w/Spa
Perfectly located! Our cabin is nestled among trees on a quiet little street in desirable Moonridge. Walking distance to Bear Mountain Resort (where you can take my shuttle to Snow Summit), the golf course, the zoo and the San Bernandino National Forest. Our neighborhood is very quiet. We are far enough away from the main road, Club View Drive, to not hear the traffic and close enough to the forest to enjoy all nature has to offer. Guests will have access to the entire 2 bedroom cabin, fireplace, and spa on the back deck. Help yourself to anything you need. Includes 2 flat screen HDTV's, cable (with sports package) and high speed wi-if. There are also kid games and board games for your entertainment. The kitchen is fully stocked with the following appliances: a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, range and refrigerator. Coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper, spices, napkins and paper towels are all available. Linen and towels are included. We do recommend bringing extra towels for the Jacuzzi. You are welcome to use the fireplace, however, we do not supply firewood. Small pieces of wood work much better as our fireplace is great for atmosphere, not for heating the cabin. Please use the heater for your main heat source. There are places in town to purchase firewood, though you might want to bring some with you in advance. We like to give our guests privacy, but you are welcome to contact us anytime with questions or concerns. We are available via text, email or telephone call. We usually respond to any message within an hour.

Cozy cabin with excellent proximity to Big Bear Lake and various activities in the area. Using amenities at the property was easy with instructions provided by the hosts and we found it very clean. We had a great stay!
Great little spot with everything we needed. We were able to walk to some trails from the home, and it was a short drive to restaurants, the village, and the lake. The hot tub was amazing at night!
Overall, we had a good time at Bear Mountain Hideaway. The location is great; very close to the zoo, skiing, and Moonridge coffee shop (good breakfast!). The host responded very quickly and gave good instructions. The rate per night was inexpensive. Additionally the hot tub was in great condition.. very clean and hot!The cabin was a good size and on a surface level it was clean but it did not look like listing photos. The couches in the living room were older and have seen better days, the carpet on the stairs/in the bedrooms was very dirty, the sheets did not fit the queen size bed and kept rolling up and exposing the mattress and the other full bed was very squeaky and did not feel sturdy. These are all things that I think could be easily fixed and are not a deal breaker if you want a good, well priced getaway. Thanks.
Great little cabin for a few nights stay! Loved this place and my kids loved it too. They are already saying that they want to go back to the same cabin.
Great location & beautiful cabin. It was our first time in Big Bear, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The previous renters clogged the disposal, so the left side of the sink had standing water. Host communicated this, and it did not affect our stay (wasn’t their fault!). Only complaint is lack of utensils for eating, so I’d make sure to bring your own (plastic) if you plan on doing any cooking or food prep. We really enjoyed our stay. The fireplace made everything feel magical! There was plenty of space for the 4 of us, 2 kids and 2 adults. I will definitely recommend this cabin! The area is beautiful and quiet.
Very convenient location to town. It had a nice rustic cabin feel if you’re looking for that escape. The hot tub was easy to use and great on a cold night. The only issue we had was they didn’t have sheets that fit the queen bed so a whole corner was exposed and then rolled up during the night. Also, they only had 3 spoons which was a little inconvenient on the night we had soup for dinner. Overall, a very nice place with minor fixable issues.
My son and I wanted an affordable place just for a couple days to go snow boarding. This place was located in walking distance from Big Bear park, and was perfect for us!
Price was extremely reasonable. House is within walking distance to Bear Mountain but just a bit uphill. Received checkin info timely and very clear and specific. House was clean and cozy. Well stocked. Bedrooms comfortable. Bathroom small and downstairs but typical for cabins in big bear. Did not use fireplace. Used hot tub. Heated quickly. was clean and easy to use/uncover.
We had a wonderful time at the Bear Mountain Hideaway! The cabin was cozy, had everything we needed and was in a great location surrounded by trees. We were there during a snowstorm and were pleasantly surprised when people came early in the morning to shovel us out. Maranda and Howard were wonderful hosts!
My spouse and stepmother accompanied me. Two bedrooms across the hall and a bathroom downstairs gave us all adequate elbow room. The kitchen was extremely well equipped which made for easy meal preparation and cozy meals. Lots of blankets and pillows here, there and everywhere made the place super comfy. A short, but rough-hewn log stairway leading from the driveway to the house might be difficult for people with orthopedic disabilities. Each step on the stairs leading up to the second floor is perhaps not as wide as typical and must be maneuvered thoughtfully if your feet are large. Peaceful neighborhood near the trailhead of the Bristle Cone Pine Trail.

We like hiking, skiing, and relaxing in Big Bear Lake. Our Moonridge cabin is one of our favorite vacation spots. My husband likes taking our son, every morning, walking to the Bear Mountain lifts/lodge area, regardless of the season..
Why they chose this property
New to VRBO! We've been renting our cabin to vacationers now for 3+ years, and have added to VRBO to have a wider audience. We love our BearMountainHideaway property and our terrific street/location. Being able to walk to the Slopes, the Golf Course, the Zoo, and to hiking trails is super fun.
