About this property
Bear Lake Hideaway: Two Story Log Cabin w fireplace & hot tub. Walk to the lake!
Centrally located, our cabin is a 6 minute walk to the lake, a half mile to the Village and a mile to Snow Summit. Featuring a Jacuzzi and fireplace, Bear Lake Hideaway is situated in a quaint neighborhood with a lovely, welcoming spirit.
Just down the block from Meadow Park which offers tennis courts, volley ball, basketball, kids playground, and a dog park. Ski Beach, which sits adjacent to Meadow Park, provides a path down to the lake (and water skiing when the lake is full). The Village is also walking distance, a half mile down Big Bear Blvd. The best breakfast place in town, the Grizzly Manor Cafe, is right on the corner!
There are board games for your family's entertainment. The kitchen is fully stocked with the following appliances: a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, range, and refrigerator. Linen and towels are included. We do recommend bringing extra towels for the Jacuzzi.
We currently have Spectrum Cable's Silver package which includes sports, HBO, and Cinemax
Guest Access: Guests will have access to the entire 2 bedroom cabin, fireplace, BBQ and spa. Help yourself to anything you need.
Interaction with guests: We like to give our guests privacy, but you are welcome to contact us anytime with questions or concerns. We are available via text, email or telephone call. We usually respond to any message within an hour.
Other things to note: Guests are welcome to use the fireplace, however, we do not supply firewood. Small pieces of wood work much better as our fireplace is great for atmosphere, not for heating the cabin. There are plenty of places in town to purchase firewood, though you might want to bring some with you in advance.

Stay was great, the cabin was walking distance to the lake, park, town. The neighborhood was quiet and we had everything we needed.

Cleanliness was poor - carpet very dirty: laundry in dryer we had to fold and put away towels : everything creaked / wobbled that you sat in . The rail on stairs which are really steep also wobbled . We loved the jacuzzi though which made up for the rest - the location nice . The cabin is just really in need of care It has great appeal if it were taken care of
Cabin was super cute and very walkable to the lake and village area. I loved the bedroom upstairs with the door open to hear the sounds of nature. Lots of utensils and things in the kitchen to cook your own food too.
The property is perfectly located about 5 mins away from everything in big bear. The cabin feels like you're staying at grandpa's old duck hunting/ bird watching cabin depending on the type of grandpa you had. Thier are a few damaged items from what i assumed where previous guests but, nothing major. We only spent time in the cabin when we were sleeping or getting ready as we were always out and I think this cabin is perfect for that.
We loved the cozy little cabin. It is perfect for a family of four. Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our visit.
We just stayed 2 nights but the place was nice and the location was great! Super easy check in and the property is nice. We had a blast shaking and would stay again for sure. The hot tub was great after a day on the slopes!
Nice little cabin at Big Bear Lake. It was a little darker and smaller than we were expecting, based on the photos, but probably standard for an actual log cabin. My sisters and I were comfortable during our stay. It was located close to shopping and restaurants, as well as places to go walking or hiking. We had a couple of minor issues, but the owners were quick to respond.
Everything was exactly how it was represented online. Communication was great and the hosts made our stay super simple. The upstairs was hot during the day but cool at night with the balcony door and windows open. The cabin seemed to be built for smaller people, as I am 6'4 and had to bend down in the shower and watch my head upstairs.
This place was incredible. Walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. Hot tub was clean and chill. The duck statue in the bathroom cracked me up. Definitely want to stay here again in the future.
