About this property

Water-Front Luxury Keowee Cabin -- Dog-friendly, canoe, paddleboards and kayaks!

Our true log cabin is located on the sought-after north end of Lake Keowee--the Crown Jewel of South Carolina lakes. Build by the owner and his family, this retreat is the perfect place to escape the stresses of everyday life and completely unplug. But don't worry about being too unplugged... all the conveniences of modern life are still at your fingertips!

From the granite kitchen with stainless appliances to the flat-screen TVs and direct tv, home can be as close or far away as you want it to be. Our cabin is located on still canoe water, only a few paddles from the big water. Ideally suited to those who love to canoe or stand up paddleboard (both of which are provided--along with two kayaks), you can access the dock by way of a medium-sized motorized boat as well. Bring your boat into our private dock. Whatever you choose, there is a boating option for you. Oh, and fishing -- the water at the dock is perfect for casting your rod -- a big bass is often seen right nearby!

The tastefully decorated home has a woodland theme -- when you walk in the entrance and look straight through to the view, you'd swear you are in a treehouse! And, you might encounter a bear or two! Choose from a master on the main with private bath and log frame furniture. The second floor boasts a queen room and a "kids" room that sleeps 6 with single bunk beds and a queen bed. Both share a hall bath. The 4th sleeping area is in the lower level with a beautiful view of the trees and a peek at the lake.

We've done our best to make a cozy retreat to help you unwind and relax. Everything you need is provided to give you a home away from home. The Lake House -- our happy place -- will soon be your happy place too!

**We are a "small dog" friendly cabin (under 20 pounds). $30 per pet per night (Max 2). Pets must be crated if left alone in the cabin. We do provide one crate for convenience."

Please note: Our home is located at the north end of Lake Keowee where the gorgeous water is the result of mountain streams that flow down steep terrain. As with the majority of lakefront homes in this part of the lake, the property includes a sloped driveway, exterior stairs and stairs with a path to the shoreline. We encourage guests to review the listing photos carefully and consider the mobility needs of everyone in their group before booking. Our home is best suited for guests who are comfortable navigating stairs and sloped terrain.

About the host

Chris and Karen call the Upstate of South Carolina home and are fortunate to be just a short drive from Lake Keowee. Our family built this log home as a gathering place to unplug, enjoy nature, and create memories with family and friends. We love traveling and know how special it is to find a place that feels welcoming and comfortable. It's a privilege to share our lake home with you, and we hope your time here leaves you feeling refreshed and ready to come back again.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this area because true lakefront properties on Lake Keowee have become increasingly rare. We were fortunate to purchase this lot before much of the surrounding development took place, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful setting with beautiful lake and tree views. Nestled in a quiet residential community with numerous full-time residents, it's the perfect place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the slower pace of lake life.

What makes this property unique

Our home is a true log cabin, thoughtfully designed to blend naturally into its wooded surroundings. From the rustic décor to the warm wood interiors, every detail was chosen to create a peaceful retreat where you can slow down and reconnect with nature. Multiple porches and outdoor seating areas invite you to relax among the trees, while the sparkling waters of Lake Keowee are just steps away. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee, reading a book, or simply listening to the sounds of nature, we hope you'll experience the same sense of peace that has made this home so special to our family.
