This property was really nice! Easy walk to get to the dock, plenty of room to park and very clean! Perfect place to enjoy the lake and relax. 10/10 highly recommend
Good location even though at first glance you are put off by the entrance road. House was comfortable and fairly clean, bathrooms need a good cleaning. Great yard and dock and great location on the lake in a quiet cove. Would definitely stay there again.
Our overall impression of this house was great, the house was well stocked with everything you need, clean and easy access to the lake. The location is close to all of your shopping needs in downtown Seneca.
We absolutely love this property. We stayed here for the second time now, and it’s always so great to have the direct access to the water with the double dock. We often meet up with our friends on the lake, and having a space for them to park and come back and have lunch/dinner with us is a huge plus. Gary is always easy to work with, and we’ll probably be back for a third trip sometime soon.
Our stay at the Hideaway was delightful. The location is wonderful and close to Seneca. The description and the pictures are accurate and the kitchen was stocked with the necessities for cooking.
We stayed here with our family of six and had a great time. The house was perfect for us with plenty of room. The proximity to lake and overall location on the lake and to town were also perfect.
This was our second time staying at this property and it definitely will not be our last!! Everything is exactly as listed! Very accommodating and clean! Can’t wait to come back!
Location is very private, dock space for two boats which was great. House suited us perfectly. Lots of deck space. Highly recommended. We will book again.
Very nice dock but lights on it for nighttime would be great.
Overall property was nice and location was convenient to stores. Communication with owner was quick and easy.
Our family stayed at the property for about 2 weeks. Location and the Lake access is amazing! Our kids went swimming daily off the dock, we did smores at the firepit at night, grilled out, etc. To be super transparent, it is a modular type home and there are no frills, but we did not need that. We wanted a clean, nice home, that our family could stay and enjoy the lake.
Very clean. Plenty of towels and blankets. Well stocked kitchen.
We stayed here for Clemson graduation and wish we found this place sooner
If it’s available grab it.
Close to Clemson but add extra time for event weekends.
We had a great time. House was as described and very comfy. Met the lake neighbors while swimming and they were nice as well. Saw some deer early in the morning. My boys had a great time kayaking and swimming. Property was clean and window view and back-porch view was amazing.
Listing was spot on with actual property. House was clean and had everything we needed. House was on a quiet cove of the lake which we loved. Plenty of space for our whole family. Enjoyed hikes in Oconee and Sumter. And beers at Keowee Brewing. Wi-Fi worked well. Good communication with owners. We had a really great stay!
We had a great time at the Hideaway. The house was clean and had ample room for our family of 8. It was stocked well with kitchen ware and essentials. The dock was nice and our grandchildren had a great time fishing. It would be perfect if there was a screened deck, but I highly recommend it to others. It is close to a Dollar General and Seneca for food or supplies.
Our family was hoping for a getaway sanctuary that we could use to enjoy the natural beauty of the Lake Keowee area while still being close enough to visit our daughter for family weekend at Clemson. "The Hideaway", as the owner's call this property, suited us perfectly. There was plenty of space for our family of four to spread out (though there could have even been more guests). The picturesque views outside of the front windows of the living room allowed for relaxing in the peaceful setting of the trees and lakeshore. Having access to two boat docks allowed us the opportunity to rent a ski boat from a local company and truly enjoy this immense lake and all that it has to offer. It was a quiet, clean space that we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely return some day if the opportunity arises.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Location beautiful but lodging not up to most guest standards
I waited several days to compose this review to gather my thoughts in a constructive manner (we too are ST rental hosts). We were in the Seneca area visiting my son for Clemson game day weekend. The pros: Pretty lakefront location, a nice big dock, and the home is decorated nicely as in the listing photos. The cons: There was no working drip coffee maker or water kettle. I reached out to ask about it and no response. Property thin on amenities bath and kitchen. The bedroom linens and towels are in dire need of replacement unless you are expecting 1-star or 2-star quality. There are no proper blankets or comforters on the beds or as extra. This is a manufactured home for those who care. The water pressure is low and hot water runs out quickly after 2-3 people shower. There were 5 guests in total. The mattresses were squishy and not very firm. The worst part is there is a roach infestation both alive and dead. It did appear that the manager/owner checked or did a walk-through prior to our arrival. There was 'sticky' paper in the queen bedroom closet full of dead roaches. We took a photo of it as proof. We made sure to shake out our belongings when we packed up. Suffice it to say this was our worst ST vacation rental experience to date.
We stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday and food prep was tough with the limited kitchen supplies. Overall house was clean but some details had to be addressed. Lake view and dock were terrific. Plenty of sleeping room for the family.
This was a wonderful weekend retreat. 7 adults stayed comfortably and enjoyed the beautiful lake views and flat lot. The owner communicated promptly both before and during the stay. Highly recommended, we will return!
