For generations, Londoners have escaped here for seaside breaks – and it’s easy to see why. Along the promenade, you’ll find Volk’s Electric Railway, Sea Life Brighton, the atmospheric remains of the West Pier, and the Brighton i360, where panoramic views pair perfectly with a glass of Sussex fizz.
Brighton’s cultural scene is just as lively, with theatres, live music, comedy, drag shows, and art galleries around every corner. Whether you’re into big productions or cosy open-mic nights, there’s something happening every evening. Outdoor enthusiasts can try cycling, paddleboarding, zip-wires, beach volleyball, or simply relax on the city’s eight miles of coastline.
Nature is never far away. Explore the South Downs National Park for scenic walks, picnics, and stargazing, or visit Stanmer Park and Devil’s Dyke for sweeping countryside views. If you’re in the mood for day trips, historic Lewes and Arundel, the dramatic Seven Sisters Cliffs, and award-winning Sussex vineyards are all within easy reach.
Whether you’re staying for a weekend getaway or a longer visit, Brighton offers the perfect balance of seaside charm, cultural energy, and natural beauty – all ready to enjoy right on your doorstep.

Cycling is a great way to explore, with many roads offering cycle lanes and a dedicated seafront path running from Hove Lagoon all the way to Volk’s Electric Railway.
