Gite de Brassacou

The Gite de Brassacou, located along the Ariège River for 2 km, in a natural enclave that is part of the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels, 10 minutes from Pamiers, at the foot of the Pyrenees, and spread over 100 hectares, is the ideal place for a nature-filled holiday. Here you can swim (private beach), recharge in the forest, observe the flora and fauna, get up close to the animals, and enjoy the charm and tranquility of the property.<br>Accommodations<br>The Sárticule cottage is part of the Agro-Environmental Centre project, which includes a biodiversity conservation association, agricultural activities, and an educational farm. The Centre works to foster civic engagement in addressing environmental challenges from the perspective of an ecological, democratic, and solidarity-based transition by providing concrete solutions in terms of nature conservation, agroecological production, and environmental education.<br><br>The Gîte de Brassacou, part of the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels, features a private beach on the Ariège River, a barbecue/fire pit area, and a game room. There are 6 bedrooms, 4 of which have private bathrooms/toilets, while the other two share a common bathroom/toilet, as well as a large living room, a dining room, two kitchens, and two terraces. The property includes various wildlife parks and agricultural areas, a large preserved meadow, a forest, a clay cliff, and several educational trails. You’ll have access to information on local biodiversity and nearby activities, and you can request services such as guided tours or activities on the estate.<br>Pamiers, just 10 minutes away, offers numerous shops and festivals. Nearby: Foix, Mirepoix, Saint-Girons, Saint-Lizier, Toulouse, Montségur, Carcassonne, Andorra<br>Guest access<br>The entire cottage, the various parks and educational trails, the uncovered car park, the terrace, the barbecue area, the campfire site, and the private beach.<br>Additional Notes<br>The river is close to the property; therefore, families with young children release the owners from any liability.<br>Pets are not allowed.<br>The property is secluded due to the long 2-km access road, which is made of concrete or, in some sections, dirt and gravel. Please be aware that you are entering a sensitive natural area classified by the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels.<br>The inconvenience of the road is more than made up for by what you will discover. You must love nature and care about environmental protection to truly appreciate this place and accept its minor inconveniences.<br>There are two canoes on the property, but we do not make them available for safety and insurance reasons.
