A lovely summer stay

We enjoyed our family stay at Graythwaite; our cottage was very clean and well-appointed. A good base for the Lakes. We really enjoyed archery and axe throwing, and our boat trip. The swimming pool could have been warmer!

Jubilee Cottage

Another very enjoyable stay at Jubilee Cottage which has fantastic views across the field to the wooded area.. The swimming pool was great too. We have previously enjoyed the Graythwaite activities which we would recommend..

Jubilee Cottage had been closed for over 12 months while it underwent a full refurbishment, so it was especially lovely to welcome you as one of our very first guests to stay after reopening. As returning guests who we always look forward to hosting, it meant a great deal to have you experience the cottage in its new form. The cottage was taken back to its bare brick and opened up to make the most of the views you enjoyed, and we’re so pleased to hear that you had such a lovely stay. Glad to be back for our 10th visit to the Graythwaite Estate

It was very quiet around the courtyard this year with only a few cottages filled. Jubilee cottage was clean when we arrived and any issues we had were dealt with swiftly. We will be back next year .

A lovely stay in a beautiful location

We had a great weekend in a cottage on the Graythwaite Estate whilst we were guests at a wedding, also on the Estate. The cottage had comfortable beds and plenty of space. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-equipped. It was lovely to have other cottages nearby with family staying in them too and to be able to go for walks around the Estate.. A bonus was the indoor swimming pool. The only downside was the fact that the farm shop was not open when we all arrived on the Friday afternoon, despite opening hours on the website saying that it would be and which some guests had been relying on. However, overall it was an excellent place to stay, particularly as it was only 20 minutes walk to the wedding venue. Thank you

Quality Cottage in amazing location

We were very impressed with the facilities at the Graithwaite cottages. Our cottage, Jubilee, had everything we needed, was clean and well presented and was perfect for our party of 6 with an she range of 8-50. The swimming pool onsite was perfect. Clean and an easy booking system. We also did the axe throwing on the estate which was certainly a highlight and would highly recommend. This is definitely a holiday I would recommend and will look to rebook in the future

Lovely stay near Lake Windermere

Jubilee Cottage had recently been fully refurbished. The sofas and beds were very comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms were clean, heating was available if needed. The cottage was spacious with plenty of room for six. The front courtyard was quiet - lots of nesting housemartins - and the rear view was across a field, with bats and owls at night. The bookable swimming pool was a bonus. The on site shop was handy for various bits and pieces. We were guests at a wedding on the estate; it was a 15 minute walk back to Jubilee afterwards. Response to an email query we had was quick. Would definitely be happy to stay here again!
