The Blue House was a wonderful home away from home. From the many windows are beautiful views of the sea and coastline. The host welcomed us with a bottle of wine, local cheese and bread, and basics like eggs, butter etc… It is best to have a rental car as it is about a 20 min drive to the Ponta Delgada and the airport.

Blue House Azores

This was the most fantastic house we’ve ever had the privilege of staying at. Our family of four absolutely adored the Blue House. The location and views from the house are breathtaking and everything has been thoughtfully designed and decorated by the architect couple who designed the property on the site of an old Whalers’ tavern. Capelas is centrally located to most places on the island which made traveling to different destinations easy, and we got to enjoy being away from downtown at the end of the day. I hope we have the chance to stay here again someday.
