Tahoe Blue Estate is an 8,640 square foot spectacular home built on a bluff at the top of Kingsbury Grade. Tahoe Blue Estate offers you and your guests a secluded getaway with phenomenal 360 views of beautiful Lake Tahoe from nearly every room that will take your breath away! Many rooms also have spectacular views of the Heavenly Ski resort along with hundreds of acres of forest. Sitting on over 1.7 acres, the gated estate offers a private mountain getaway for the ultimate in relaxation, yet is less than a 10 minute drive to the casinos and downtown South Lake.

The home includes 7 bedrooms (one of which is semi-private), 7.5 baths and plenty of room for entertaining. Enjoy the sunset over the lake in the beautiful indoor spa or rack a game of pool and watch a movie in the recreational room! The kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-line professional appliances (including two dishwashers, an espresso machine, and a Viking range), sure to impress any chef. Once you have prepared you meal, enjoy it with your guests on our custom built dining room table that sits 18. Have a drink and enjoy the views at either of the two bars or sit and relax with company in front of the fireplace. The main master includes a soaking tub, fireplace and seating area, and three of the seven bedrooms are mini masters with their own private bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms and the semi-private room are located in a separate, fully equipped apartment (including a full kitchen) that can be accessed through the house or through a separate entrance, making the home perfect for multiple families! There is also a 2 car garage and a large heated drive to fit a total of 9 cars. Numerous other luxury amenities and high end details throughout the home will allow you to experience the best of Tahoe and a getaway unlike any other!

If you are staying with us in the winter, a day of skiing or snowboarding is easy to plan with the estate being only 0.5 miles from the Boulder lift/lodge and 1.5 miles from the Stagecoach lift/lodge, both of which are a part of the Heavenly Mountain. For those coming during the warmer months, there are plenty of great hiking and biking trails in the area, and the beaches are a 10 - 15 min drive down the mountain.

No matter what time of year, Tahoe Blue Estate is sure to provide you with the vacation of your dreams!

Amazing views! No need to workout with the amount of stairs. Tahoe Blue is a beautiful property with unobstructed views of the Lake and surrounding mountains. Our favorite part of our stay was enjoying the sunset by the fire pit with a nice glass of wine. The house has a perfect proximity to town and hikes on Heavenly mountain ski resort. After a long active day, we loved unwinding in the hot tub and sinking into the plush beds. Any season of the year, Tahoe Blue is the best way to enjoy Lake Tahoe and all of its beauty.

We were there for our wedding and wanted the place to be special, the house met all our expectations and even more! Natasha was always quick to respond to any questions we had prior to the event and even had suggestions on caterers. Dyani met us for a walkthrough on our first day and did a great job ensuring we had everything we needed. This is my 3rd ski trip to South Lake Tahoe and best one yet. Best parts: 1. The views from this house are unreal and every room has a view. 2. Having a hot tub and sauna after skiing all day 3. Family Winter Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We expected this home to comfortably accommodate us and it exceeded our expectations. The home held up well under some pretty extreme weather conditions (100 mph wind gusts & 5’ snow in 36 hrs). When utility power was lost the back up generators performed as designed. The only downside was the driveway heaters were not able to run while on back up power. That inconvenience was quickly mitigated with the arrival of a snow removal service. Overall this was a wonderful family experience!

Wonderful Winter Wedding

We are so thrilled we stayed here for our wedding! We wanted something different, relaxed but classy for our wedding. Everything was clean and easy to use. The views of course were breathtaking and the perfect setting. Lindsay couldn’t be more helpful! She answered all of my questions quickly and reassured me with everything! We had to make some changes in our ceremony because of the snow but it all worked out for the best. We got so many compliments from our guests and our chef really loved the kitchen. Keep in mind: if you’re doing an event here you will have sore legs by the end of the stay! The whole experience was wonderful and we will definitely book again!

Spectacular Heavenly House

We used the house as a gathering place for our daughter's wedding that was at Genoa Lakes Golf Course. We were approx 20 minutes away from the wedding venue, which was very convenient. The house was truly amazing! All our guests had a wonderful time...six adult couples, and a couple adult children. This home is NOT for elderly or young children, who have difficulty navigating stairs. The views from most of the rooms in the house are overlooking beautiful Lake Tahoe! The place was clean and well-stocked with linens. The kitchen was perfectly stocked for hosting many family members for meals. We lost power during our stay, but fortunately, the emergency generator worked great, so it wasn't overly inconvenient. We had a great week that our family will cherish forever! :)

A Gorgeous View Every Morning

We had a group of 21 adults and 1 child who came together for a work retreat to enjoy this amazing house for 4 nights. Everyone was SO impressed with how beautiful this place was. The mountain and lake views you get every single morning are breathtaking. The location of the house is perfect - 10 minute drive from Heavenly and there are many nearby restaurants. The jacuzzi, the karaoke, the pool table, the espresso machine, TVs/music sound system -- everything was perfect. The house is equipped with all the cooking utensils you could possibly imagine, two dishwashers, and laundry/drier. They also have plenty board games and movies for you to watch. The beds were very comfortable and there was more than enough space for the air mattresses that were provided. The couches were also very comfortable. We had such an amazing stay and look forward to returning again one day. Communication with Natasha and Wendy was perfect at all times. Thank you so much for sharing with us this lovely place.

Best experience of my life!!!

This property was hands down the best place I have ever been to. We had our whole wedding here (rehearsal dinner, ceremony, & reception). Let me first start by saying how amazing Lindsay the property manager is. She was always so fast to answer questions (planning a wedding from far away was stressful but she sure did make it easier). She was so friendly during our tour and even quick to answer my questions through text during our stay. When we left we had forgotten to drop off some of our rentals and she was willing to take time out of her day to drop it off for us. What an awesome person to work with! Second, the property was more than we could ask for. The pictures just don’t do it justice. All of my guests couldn’t believe their eyes. It had a ton of amenities to keep a big group busy for days. We never felt the need to leave the house for entertainment!! Lastly, if you are thinking of choosing this as a wedding venue, don’t even think twice about it. It was the best time of my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I am so happy I came across this beautiful house.

Wonderful wedding AND family vacation

We checked into the property on Wednesday for a Friday wedding (I was the bride). Leading up to our stay, I had constant communication with Lindsay for anything I needed. She had great communication, answered my questions quickly via text, and let us visit the property to plan the wedding twice prior to our stay. Our group of 14 spent 4 amazing days of relaxing family vacation at the venue including throwing a wedding in there. Unfortunately, wildfire smoke blew into cover the entire venue hours before our wedding. Because of how great the house is, we were able to get all 50+ of our guests and vendors into the house for dinner and reception easily, so plan B was easy for weather accommodations if you’re hosting an event. We did the top tier rental package and all rentals (tables chairs linens) were in good shape and easy to set up / tear down (we did it ourselves). We also used the venue provided glassware and cutlery to host a rehearsal dinner at the house Thursday. Finally, we loved having the option to use coolers, beach chairs, and blankets for a fall beach day on Saturday (8 min drive). The main complaint we see on these reviews is the noise restriction. We had live music and a loud fun party all night for the wedding and had zero issues with the noise level, cops, etc. so if you ask me- no issues there! 10/10 vacation, wedding, venue, relaxation, etc!!!!!!!

Christmas Memories

Back in October my husband and I had the idea of treating our family to a little pre-Christmas celebration. 2020 has really been a “Doozy” of a year and we wanted to do something special to end it on a positive note. When we came across this property, we were just in awe of the gorgeous views it had to offer. None the less the beauty of the home itself. Our kids couldn’t wait for this trip to come! Without writing a novel let me just say how utterly pleased we were upon arrival. It exceeded our expectations and had the perfect amount of space for the 16 of us (Including children) to either gather together or enjoy some private time separately. This home boasts pride of ownership and offers all amenities necessary to enjoy your stay comfortably and conveniently. The kids were able to walk out the back door from the bunk room and play in the snow and even build their own little sledding area while us adults were able to watch them from the deck or kitchen area. Making this a win win for both the kids and the grown ups. Our hope for this trip was to get everyone to press pause on every day life, unplug and to just be able to take in the stillness of our surrounding and it did just that!!! We had such a beautiful and meaningful time, created new memories and reminisced on the old. The views this home has to offer are breathtaking!! Just gorgeous! I have no doubt we will be making this a new family Christmas tradition.

Memories of a Lifetime

The home, view and amenities are beyond 5 star. We had our family of 13 adults and 4 children for Thanksgiving. We stayed at the home for 8 days. Everyone had a great time from the 14 month old to the Grandparents. We played games, pool went in the spa brought out the dominos and pinacle cards and sang Karaoke until all hours there was something for everyone. We had a few days of snow which were turned into snowmen and sledding. It was magical for adults and children alike. The daily change in the amazing view was something we had never seen before. Bright red sun rises, bright red sunsets. Fog on the Lake, snow rolling over the mountains, wind howling hard blowing the snow sideways. All of it was amazing and awe inspiring. This home was beautiful and furnished with all top of the line everything from the bedding to the kitchen appliances. We have stayed at a lot of large homes over the years as this is a yearly family tradition. This was the best home we have ever stayed at. The owners and property manager were wonderful communicators and any question we had were answered right away during the entire process. Not one family member wanted to leave. There is no price for this kind of family time in such a beautiful place. The internet was also fast and reliable however to be honest I don't think anyone hardly looked at a phone or computer. These few wonderful days will stay in all of hearts forever. A big thank you to the owners and mangers of this home for making this family time so special.

Heavenly experience at Tahoe Blue Estate

We stayed here a few weeks ago for our annual family ski trip and everyone is still talking about it! You can only plan so much and took a chance on the weather. The last of our party got in Friday evening just as a major storm was moving in. What a great place to be snowed in for a few days! Setting up the reservation and checking in was so easy. Even with a storm moving in Lindsay met us upon arrival to let us in and go through the property to show us everything. The home is absolutely beautiful and all of the features are amazing. As you walk in there is a wonderful waterfall that you control throughout your stay. The kitchen has everything you need and very organized. (The grocery store is 10 min down the road). The stunning dining room table overlooks the mountains and the lake. The layout of the home is perfect for family accommodations. The master bedroom also has fantastic views of the lake with its own fireplace and the master bath has full walk in closet (for all the bulky skiwear) and the floors are even heated. Three other guest rooms are on the same side and each with its own bath and two with balconies. On the other side of the home has an ideal set up for family with small children. It has three bedrooms in close proximity and even has a kitchenette in one of the rooms. It was like a private cabin within the home and worked well for my nephew and his family that joined us. The kids loved the bunkbeds! Downstairs is the pool table, full length bar, pool table and enclosed sauna and hot tub. We have stayed in many places listed on VRBO each unique in its own way but this home was so well thought out and just made our vacation truly memorable. The location is a 10 minute drive to Boulder Lodge Tahoe where you can purchase ski lift tickets and pick up your ski rentals. This will definitely be our home away from home whenever we are in the Tahoe area again!

Perfect Family Getaway

We booked this property for a place for my family to stay centrally during our destination wedding weekend. The home is spacious enough for privacy of each guest, but central enough to feel like a true family vacation home. The amenities are endless including a kitchen with every small appliance you can imagine, a jacuzzi and sauna, pool table, large outdoor entertaining space, board games, and a large custom built dining table that seats the entire family. The 360 panoramic lake/mountain views are unparalleled at any other accommodation you can find in the area. Lastly, Lindsay (the estate manager) is thorough in her check-in and makes moving in and out as smooth as possible. She was available for any questions during our stay, which was appreciated. We moved up to South Lake Tahoe/Stateline because we loved the beauty and nature of the area. We love to ski/snowboard in the winter and hike/mountain bike in the summer.

Why they chose this property

We toured the house and thought it was the most spectacular home we'd ever seen in Tahoe. Astounding lake and/or mountain views from nearly every single room are found in this beautiful 8,640 sq ft gated estate. Extraordinary wood and stone work along with beautiful furnishings make this home truly luxurious.

Originally built for $8 million in 1992 for Charlie Ray, owner of Sea Ray Boats, the foundation was attached to the large boulders and a helicopter was used to set the beams. The house has been wonderfully maintained since then and has been remodeled twice. We knew it had the privacy, the views and the luxurious accommodations to meet the high expectations of an executive retreat or world class family vacation.

We can't wait for you to experience the incredible sunsets and classic Tahoe motif that made us fall in love with this little piece of paradise.

What makes this property unique

The private gated estate sits on 1.7 acres of land on top of an outcrop overlooking Lake Tahoe - offering one of the most secluded properties in Tahoe, yet still easily accessible on well-plowed roads close to the Kingsbury Grade. The estate enjoys unimpeded breath-taking (literally) views of the lake, Heavenly Ski Resort and surrounding scenery. Nearly everyone first visiting the home pulls out their phones to take pictures of the lake.
