PEACE & TRANQUILITY, Mtn.Cabin By A Stream Near A.T. And Roan Mtn State Park

Thank you for considering our mountain cabin as your vacation get-away! We find peace and tranquility there and we think you will find it as well! The cabin, just over 8 years old is still just like new and offers sleeping accommodations for up to 10. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one queen bed (new Tuft and Needle mattress), and one full bed (new mattress), and an upstairs loft area that has two single beds and one full bed (ALL have new Tuft and Needle mattresses!) Additionally, there is plenty of space to blow up two queen air mattresses if extra space is needed for kids or extra people. The fully equipped kitchen offers stainless steel appliances and a sitting area to view beautiful Roan Mountain or any wildlife that may be playing in the yard. The large living room area is equipped with a semi circular leather couch with recliners on both ends and a large ottoman. Rockers are available in this room, adding sitting space for large family gatherings. There is a large flat screen TV over the mantle, offering a movie like setting for those who enjoy movies or TV. The front porch of our cabin is equipped with a swing, two rockers and other porch chairs, offering an early morning getaway for readers and bird watchers while listening to the stream. This is a favorite spot for almost everyone who visits the cabin. The back porch of the cabin is a great spot to grill and entertain. The 10 acre property that the cabin sits on has a natural walking path for those who like to get exercise without having to leave the cabin to do this. Additionally, there is a natural fire pit just across the bridge by the creek where you and your family may enjoy smores and late night chats. The creek water is adjacent to the firepit and readily available to extinguish the fire/embers after use. All seasons are beautiful here, as nature puts on a display of brilliant colors depending on the time of year. We hope your stay at the cabin will be a time of refreshment and renewal.

Perfect! We were able to hike the balds and fly fish. The cabin provided beautiful repite from a busy world! The night sky is breathtaking and we loved evenings by the firepiit!

This cabin is located adjacent to Roan Mtn. State Park and the cabin grounds are exceptionally beautiful. We just stayed a couple of days, but wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin has very much of a family feel, reflecting the owners' love of the property. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The owner contacted us ahead of our trip (which was wonderful) and at the conclusion of our stay to make sure we enjoyed our time there. We would love to visit again.

The pictures are good and still don't do the property justice! It's like its own little state park. We visited in the spring, so the creek was a mini-river, which we loved playing in before drying off at the fire pit and enjoying lunch at the picnic table, both of which are right there on the bank.The cabin's interior is charming from top to bottom. The porches, front and back, are so peaceful (the sound of chirping birds and the babbling brook ever-present) and private (neighbors at least a couple football fields away). Close enough to some small grocery stores and good restaurants to be comfortable, but remote enough to have a real getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Enjoyed our stay immensely!

Relaxing on Roan Mountain

Peaceful, serene, relaxing vacation! Quiet location with deer roaming and the trickling sounds of the creek. Very clean! Perfect spot for our weekend family getaway! Definitely want to revisit this one in the future!
