The cottage is a lovely place to stay - but only if you’re ok with stairs as every room is on a different floor via some very old staircases. Also, parking is in no way guaranteed - the host says they have two spaces at the back of the property - but when we arrived the space was taken by other local residents - so bear that in mind. Overall the place is great. Right in the middle of Bibury so just a few minutes walk from all the local attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean and the garden was beautiful and welcoming. The proximity to everything was terrific. There was plenty of space for our family and the book of information about the property was extremely helpful. It was a dream come true for this American to get to stay in such an old beautiful property with so much history and quirky details! I would stay here again!

Property was lovely and as described, but hot tub was unusable due to having a lot of long hairs in it.Unfortunately after our stay, despite contacting the host twice regarding this issue, we had no response.

Perfect cottage in a perfect location! We just came back from a four night stay in Sundial Cottage and it was everything we wanted and more. Spacious, clean, well equipped kitchen, lovely comfy beds, soft towels and the hot tub was an added bonus. Fantastic communication with the owners, easy five stars *****

This property desperately needs fire extinguishers and fire blankets (visibly displayed) The nature of the old building is of course excusable for modern safety features but these basics should be there. There should also be quick release handles on external doors. The house is otherwise lovely and good value for the area. Clearer instructions on getting into the bothy would help (andd it to the booklet in kitchen) and we called the hosts but never heard back. Please be aware people in the bothy may struggle with the door and cannot enter the house without doors being internally opened for them. The stairs are also not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or small children.

For the expensive price our stay was disappointing. We were a group of 8 and the sofa bed in the lounge is old and very small. It’s worth noting that one of the bedrooms is separate in an annexe in the garden. We appreciate character but the stone stairs are extremely steep and not suitable for young children. The house was not clean, dust and dirt under and behind all beds, chairs and furniture in the lounge/kitchen and bedrooms. There is a lot of staining on the carpets especially at the top of the stairs on the landing. The cellar door, also with very steep stairs had been left open and so the cottage smelt of damp. Bathrooms also smelt of damp and drains. The kitchen floor needs repairing as the wooden floor is lifting. The window frames are rotten. Parking is also a big problem if you have several cars. Not worth the price tag attached

Quaint property. Close to everything in Bibury. Plenty of space to spread out with a group. Upon arrival there was an issue with the hot tub, however, the host was very attentive and took care of the matter.

Clean cottage with comfy beds. Rooms like the photographs but access from dining room to lounge and the stone staircase were a bit of a surprise. Some additional outside lighting by the Bothy would also have been helpful. Stayed as a group for a wedding at nearby Cripps Barn and this was lovely and convenient, and the Catherine Wheel pub was great for evening meals.

We had an excellent 3 nights with our family, check in was easy as information provided in advance. The location is great, super close to the centre of Bibury, plus the pub immediately opposite! Tori was on hand and responded immediately to a few questions via the Vrbo message system. Disappointed we couldn’t use the hot tub (due to hose pipe ban) otherwise all as described.

Magical, Central and Picturesque

This property was in the middle of town and very cute. It had everything we needed. Only caution: this is not small kid friendly (very steep stairs and rocks) and not ADA or for older people. But perfect for fit and mobile folks. The price was great value!

I wish I could give this place a 5 star review because we enjoyed our stay immensely. The location is amazing, the house itself was unique and interesting. The beds were comfortable. The garden was lovely. But there were several things that were frustrating. The key situation was confusing, as the key to the Bothy was inside the house, whereas the description said that one key opened both doors. A phone call to the host was helpful for that. The description said there was a grill, but there were no grilling utensils. When we arrived , there wasn't enough toilet paper for 6 people for a three night stay (that was remedied quickly by the host.) There was only one used sponge in the kitchen and there was no foil or wrapping of any kind. If we had known that ahead of time, we would have brought our own . Our main concern, however, was that the hot tub wasn't working properly. From the very first use, it kept shorting out whenever we tried to use the jaccuzz jets and never reached the temperature we wanted. We weren't sent instructions on how to use it until after we asked for help. This would have been considered an annoyance but for the fact that we had to pay extra for it. On the whole, we had a wonderful time in Bibury. I would happily recommend this place.

Picture postcard cottage!

Lovely traditional Cotswolds cottage in a great location, just a few minutes walk up the hill from the middle of Bibury. Very tastefully refurbished & styled cottage with field walks directly opposite (as well as the handy pub!!). Super location for other Cotswolds villages and towns eg: Burford) and highly recommended village pubs for meals and country pints!! The host was attentive and lovely - which also is really appreciated by us.

A Perfect Weekend Getaway

I recently stayed at this charming house for a weekend, and it was an absolutely lovely experience for our family of four. The house is wonderfully situated, making it easy to explore the local area. Once you park your car, you can walk across the street to a cozy pub. There’s a coffee shop just two minutes down the road, an ice cream stand, a trout café, and other amenities nearby. A restaurant at the hotel and a kids' park are also within walking distance. The house itself is very clean and provides a relaxing atmosphere. While there’s no mobile signal in the area, the Wi-Fi signal is excellent both in the house and at the pub, so we remained well-connected. The hot tub was a delightful addition, perfect for unwinding. We enjoyed watching the bees and birds visiting the bee house and bird feeders while relaxing outside. If you have children, be aware that the steps inside the house are made of stone, which was a bit nerve-wracking at first. However, our kids quickly adapted and enjoyed exploring the house. The electric keyboard, guitar, and violin were fantastic additions for our musical family. Overall, it was a great weekend getaway. Highly recommended for families looking for a peaceful and enjoyable retreat.
