About this property
18th Century Cottage in Cirencester with Garden
Summary:
This beautiful home’s honey-stone exterior is quintessentially Cotswolds, but the interiors have been given a contemporary twist. Find historic charm and modern comfort at this two-bedroom cottage in Cirencester, 5-8 mins walk from the centre. Housed within a Grade II* listed building from 1775, find original features aplenty - from exposed stone walls to rustic beams and terracotta flagstone floors. Yet, stylish decor adds a touch of luxury. Paid on-street parking is found outside the cottage.
The Space:
With inviting rooms, a courtyard garden and an abundance of charm, this cottage is the ideal setting for a country getaway. After long days out exploring, head to your cosy living room for an evening of peace and relaxation - settle in for the night with a glass of wine and a film on the Smart TV. Meanwhile, next door, the brand new kitchen, featuring marble countertops, a butler sink and coffee machine is a delight to rustle up delicious homecooked meals.
Upstairs, the cottage boasts two spacious bedrooms that sleep four. Both are as light, bright and homely as the other. The master has a super-king bed and the second bedroom with a king-size bed (both also have pull outs available on request - please see more info below). There’s also an added bonus of a desk for anyone planning to work remotely. Both share a lovely family bathroom with a shower and bath unit.
For those travelling with their own vehicles, there is a large car park right opposite the cottage called Beeches Road Car Park. The rates are reasonable and it only costs £3.10 per day. The charging hours are from Mon-Sat 08:00 - 18:00, and Sun 10:00 - 18:00. It is free outside of these hours. There is also an EV charging point here.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole cottage and garden, including a lockable shed.
The Neighborhood:
Cirencester is a charming market town that is often thought of as a gateway to the Cotswolds. Immerse yourself in history with a visit to the Corinium Museum, showcasing artefacts from Roman times. Explore the picturesque streets lined with quaint shops, cafes, and historic buildings. Take a leisurely stroll around Cirencester Park or venture further afield to the enchanting Cotswold countryside. Indulge in a spot of retail therapy at the bustling markets or browse the local art galleries. The cottage is also right next to the award-winning Barn Theatre.
With its rich heritage, stunning scenery, and vibrant atmosphere, Cirencester offers something for everyone, ensuring an unforgettable stay.
