The space

Welcome to our lovely large Victorian apartment in the heart of Merchiston, where period charm meets modern comfort. This spacious 1600 sq ft home features beautiful high ceilings, expansive views, and a peaceful atmosphere despite its central location.

The bright living room boasts impressive 11-foot ceilings and plenty of comfortable seating. There's a dining area that can seat up to 10 guests, perfect for family meals or entertaining friends.

We've added a smart TV and Bluetooth speakers for your enjoyment, and there's also a very comfortable self-inflating raised queen air bed for additional guests (described as 'sofa bed' as closest option on Vrbo platform).

The kitchen combines character and functionality with granite worktops, a traditional AGA cooker, and a classic Belfast sink. You'll find a kitchen table for casual dining, plus an Sage/Breville Bambino espresso machine with complimentary coffee.

High-speed internet is available throughout the apartment.

With three bath/shower rooms, the apartment is ideal for families or groups. Double-glazed windows keep the street noise to a minimum, ensuring a restful stay for everyone.

Step outside and you're perfectly positioned to enjoy the best of Edinburgh. The closest bus stop is under a minute from the property, and buses take you directly to the centre in around 15 minutes (or a 30 minute walk).

There's a mini market right across the street, and you'll find pubs and cafes just a 5-minute walk away.
Stroll 10 minutes to discover the charming shops and restaurants of the prestigious neighbouring Bruntsfield and Morningside areas of Edinburgh.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Union Canal towpath and Harrison Park (complete with a children's playground) are just 5 minutes from your door.

A wonderful stay for a large family of 8

Amazing stay at this Edinburgh property! Not only was the property spacious, thoughtfully equipped, centrally located, but the property manager met us at midnight for check in, was soooo thoughtful and considerate by helping us with our bags, buying some groceries for us since we arrived so late, and provided recommendations for places to visit. The home was not only beautiful, but the kids had such a fun time playing board games and it was family time well spent. Our trip was 2 adults and 6 children ages 4-12: we all had a wonderful time and can’t wait to visit Scotland and stay here again! Highly reccomend!
