As you arrive, you’ll first notice all the construction, followed by an inordinate amount of trash surrounding the property. Not very inviting. Checking in feels like you’re getting permission to enter a jail cell, followed by a rickety elevator to the sixth floor before having to take the stairs to the seventh floor. Now to be honest, once you get inside the apartment is quite nice.
Very nice apartment with 4 big bedrooms. The kitchen was well done. Everything worked well. The carpet was wonderful. The building and neighborhood seemed a bit run down compared to other parts of Edinburgh that we had seen. However, we did not feel unsafe. One of the bathrooms had a sink so tiny it was hard to use, but otherwise the bathrooms were great.
