17th century building in the historic center of Lake Orta

The perfect image of a cozy refuge away from home, our property is located in the characteristic center of Orta S. Giulio, where the eye is lost between the magnificent lake and the beauty of the internal streets.
The building of 1600, while maintaining its original and ancient charm, has been recently renovated and repainted, paying attention to all the details.

The house is structured on two floors, with attic and lake view.

At the entrance you will find a splendid outdoor veranda with stone arches where you can relax while enjoying a wonderful view.

There are six beds, two double bedrooms and the possibility of using sofa beds. Two bathrooms with shower and bath tub. Ideal for families and couples of friends.

The use of a private garage is also available, 350 meters from the property.

The location was really wonderful. In the middle of the centre and close to a spot where we could swim. It is only a but noisy in the evenings and mornings. But still all in all perfect.

Beautiful

Francesca's house is a beautiful little get away. Donatella(she looks after the property) speaks excellent english and was fantastic, meeting us and getting us sorted with all that we needed regarding parking the car and everything to do with the house. She was only a phone call away. We loved the open fireplace, being so close to the lake and the village square. Orta San Giulio is a lovely little lake side village. The same feel as Bellagio (where we have always previously visited) but smaller and without the large numbers of tourists. More of a local feel. Loved it!

Orta Gem

We stayed at this spectacular property for three days in May. Two couples from Philadelphia on first leg of our 10 day trip. The apartment is charming and perfect for our needs. Giorgio the property manager lead us to the steps to the village and apartment. The parking is located a few meters up the hill and easy to access. A heads up? You get your steps in on the town. Cobblestones and stairs. Lots of them. Giorgio trouble shot the washing machine and patiently answered our questions We highly recommend the property and the town!

Beautiful!

We stayed for one week as a family of 4 (kids age 3 and 1)! This apartment is perfect! It’s a 5 min walk from the garage to the apartment in city center and up stairs, so getting luggage up is a little tedious, but so worth it. We did it with young kids everyday. The apartment isn’t super suited to young young kids like ours, but it’s still worth it. The covered porch is amazing to drink wine on and just enjoy Orta. There’s plenty of space for everyone in the apartment and it’s located in the enter of the town so super close to all restaurants (make sure to drink wine at the wine bar right outside the apartment building door). The apartment manager is fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable and responsive.

Très agréable séjour à Orta San Giulio

Magnifique maison ancienne au cœur d’Orta San Giulio ! La maison est très originale, agréable avec sa terrasse patio et très bien équipée. Petits commerces et restaurants juste à côté. Orta San Giulio est un village magnifique, point de départ de nombreuses activités.

Orta ist perfekt gelegen für Ausflüge und Wanderungen oder einfach zum Baden. Durch die Lage in der autofreien Innenstadt konnten die Kinder auch schon mal alleine die Umgebung erkunden.

Appartement central et avec vue "ambiancée"

Superbe appartement avec une exceptionnelle terrasse"loggia" en plein centre de Orta .On est à la fois dans l'animation du centre et à l'ecart "au dessus". Tout le village pittoresque est ainsi accessible ,le port pour les visites à l'ile GanGiulio ou le reste du lac .L'ameublement personnel tres chic permet de se sentir plutot "come a casa" ou chez des amis loin de quelque chose d'impersonnel et anonyme . L'accueil était efficace et charmant :bref parfait pour notre petit séjour .

Great spot for family stay in San Giulio/Lake Orta

My family of 5, including tween-age kids, just returned from a 3-night stay and thoroughly enjoyed this apartment in San Giulio. As other reviewers have noted, the terrace with a view is a highlight. Even in the heat of August this year, we enjoyed sitting out there and watching the strollers in town go by below us--and when it got too hot we just went for a swim in the lake, which was wonderful. The hosts were great and easy to work with. A great spot in a lovely town in the Lake District.

Great Stay

Idyllic spot in Lago D’orta. The apartment is located in the heart of the storico centro, steps from Piazza Motta. The apartment itself is clean, apportioned well with all the amenities needed. Our family spent a week there and couldn’t be happier. Giorgio, Sara and Francesca are super hosts! The only issue preventing this from being a five star review is that the workers from restaurant below like to drink and enjoy each other’s company late in the night after the restaraunt closes . Count on a 3 am wake up , or close the windows in the back.

Traumhafte Wohnung inmitten des schönen Ortes Orta San Giulio

Geschmackvoll eingerichtete und großzügig geschnittene Wohnung mit einer traumhaften überdachten Terrasse/ Patio. In nur wenigen Schritten ist man am Hauptplatz des Ortes, von oben hört man das Stimmengewirr, ohne immer dem Trubel in den Gassen direkt ausgesetzt zu sein. Kleine, aber gut ausgestattete Küche, moderne Dusche, angenehme Betten, wundervolles Ambiente. Giorgio hat uns in Empfang genommen, stand für Fragen jederzeit zur Verfügung und hat uns einige gute Tipps zur Freizeitgestaltung gegeben. Er kümmert sich wunderbar um das Wohl der Gäste vor Ort. Wir haben die Zeit in dieser Traumwohnung sehr genossen und kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.

Italien wie im Film

Italy at its best! Geschmackvolles Appartement mit toller Loggia (what you see is what you get). Bei einem Glas Wein hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf das Leben in den Gassen. Morgendlicher Lärm der Müllabfuhr gehört zum Ambiente dazu. Aber auch das macht die besondere Atmosphäre von Orta san Giulio aus. Check-in/Check -out völlig unkompliziert (Giorgio is a very, very friendly and helpful guy). Forget Lago Maggiore, go Lago d‘Orta.

The house belongs to my family since the early 80's. I started going there as a child and used to spend my entire summer overthere. I have wonderful memories of that time.

I'm 24 years old and live in New York, where I work as a freelance photographer and film producer.

Why they chose this property

I've been living abroad for almost five years now, so my family and I decided to renovate this property and rent it out throught the year, so other people can enjoy our wonderful getaway.
