Holiday something different? We are pleased to offer you "Casa Laura" a charming accommodation. The approx. 75 m² 2½-room apartment is located in a sunny and central position in the heart of the charming village Orta San Giulio, whose medieval core with its small streets often serves as a shelter for filming. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor. First floor of an old palazzo and is lovingly, partly antique furnished. From the living / dining area you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake, the island of San Giulio and the mountains thanks to the two window doors. With the windows open, you sit here as in a loggia and can enjoy the unique view. The best is to come and be enchanted! From the house you can do everything on foot. Therefore, you need your car on holiday only for trips to the area. The lake and ship mooring are about 100 m away. Bars, restaurants, grocery stores and the central Piazza Motta can be reached in a minute's walk. Bathing facilities are available in about 400 m distance, the public beach is about 1.5 km away. Hiking and mountain biking tours can be started directly from the house. If you do not want to lose contact with the rest of the world despite the extensive recreational offer, you have free WLAN access to the Internet. In the months of July, August and September, a free car park is at your disposal in the parking garage, some 300 meters away. In the other months you can park your car in one of the free parking spaces in about 400 m distance. For loading and unloading you can drive up to 50 m to the house. Leider waren die Hinweise / Beschreibung für die Anfahrt nicht genau genug!? Man darf sich nicht nach dem Navi richten!!! Die Beschreibung zum Parken in der Nähe der Unterkunft war ungenau, nicht ausreichend! Wir sind so in die Fußgängerzone geraten und mussten durch und wieder zurück in Einbahnstraßen. Hätten es ganz einfach gehabt, wenn der Aus- und Einlade Parkplatz genauer beschrieben wäre!!!

Schöne Wohnung mitten in Orta san Giulio

Dusche muss erneuert werden, ansonsten schöne Wohnung, perfekte Lage mit atemberaubendem Blick auf Isola San Giulio.

Well located - not peaceful

We went to Orta for a family wedding which was in the town hall. This apartment was well located for everything however so noisy. Peaceful early mornings were non existent. Street cleaners and bottle collectors were very evident which I do not want when on holiday. Steep hill and lots of steps to get up to the apartment. Not suitable for children or those with mobility issues. The apartment itself was large however needs some attention. Plug sockets hanging off, lights not working and very old facilities. Be aware NO air con. We used the sofa bed aswell as the bedroom with only one fan in the whole apartment. Could not open windows due to large number of mosquitoes so did not sleep very well all week. Great storage for clothing. Beds comfortable. Dishwasher. Iron/board, hairdryer. NO kettle. Bathroom facilities ok but very tired, shower rail falling down. Caretaker that met us when we arrived did not turn up to sort lights out, wouldn’t help us with a fan or kettle. No where to buy or hire such items locally without transport. We bought a hand fan from the market in Omegna which is a Thursday(2 hr battery life!) Orta really is a beautiful place. The apartment was not my ideal place, located well but needs some TLC.

Sehr schöne Lage mitten im Ortskern von Orta San Giulio. Zentraler kann man nicht wohnen.

Schöne Wohnung im 2. Stockwerk. Schöne Einrichtung mit vielen antiken Möbeln. Große Räume mit tollem Ausblick vom Frühstückstisch. Leider gab es kein funktionierendes WLAN und die Herdplatten funktionierten auch nicht richtig. Alles in Allem aber sehr empfehlenswert.
