Dear Patricia, Thanks for your kind review! We always strive to give out guests the best and your great presence allowed us to give our best. We will do our best to provide more amenities to our guests, unfrotunately sometimes it's not possible as some items or foods might be inconevient for some our our guets due to personal allergies (bread), beliefs (milk) or different hygenics habits (shared soap). However, sorry for that, there is no excure for missing Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You should have told us! We would have immediatelly provided some from my personal reserve. Thanks again or your stay.

Dear IIan ben gal, we do our best to ensure everything is perfect for our guests. I am super sorry to read of your non-perfect experience with the mattresses. They have actually been replaced not far ago and are hygienized every year. However, thanks to your report I will immediately inspect them and provide with a replacement of the obsolete bedding. This will allow us to have this addressed and ready for 2019 season. Thanks for that. I would like to thank you again for your stay and the positive review. Arialdo Davero, spent one month sitting in the garden before figuring out the best stop where he would built his work. The result leaves guest speechless. Dear Carolin, Thanks for your nice review. As you mentioned at Villa Francione we do everything to make our guests comfortable and have them feel at home. Unfortunately we can't control mosquitos, but we can control the windows! You could just close the double-glazing soundproofed back windows of Villa Francione. Those would not only have prevented mosquitos from getting in, but also the "noise" from the 2 trains passing in the evening. However, I am really sorry for your childred to be bothered my mosquitos. As an alterntive,I suggest baby spray special formulation. The classic book collection is there for your reading or just to give you a warm feeling, it's true that some guests prefer empty shelves, I am sorry the homey feeling does not match your taste. The fact that sleep 8 and 9 are in a double jump bed is clearly stated in the description. Villa Fracione is an architectural Villa with handmade furniture and hand painted floors. Yes, those things are not new, nobody can do them anymore, you can call them "dated", I call them artisanal and historical and hand made. Some guests prefer modern Ikea furniture, agreed, this is just not our style and it's clearly written, I am sorry you picked the property with different expectations. Everything is in the description. And as you say, all the appliances are new and top quality (like fridge and dishwasher), also linen and towels are new and top branded quality. Villa Francione is handmade History and Architecture, not Ikea.

Dear Stephan, thanks for your kind words, we are proud to be old! Villa Francione has the same "age" that you see in the pictures. You could have rented a modern plastic hotel or a waterfront prefab. On the contrary Villa Francione is the unique work from a famous Architect, like the many "old" paintings, buildings and other "old stuff" you can find in Italy. We have hand made furniture, hand painted floors and manually built fireplace. All of those are very old! Appliances like fridge, and kitchen are new like heating, soundproofing and all the rest. All the rest, yes, it is antique, or restored and original. We have no Ikea and no Made in China. Thanks for acknowleding that we did proper.

Dear Aagje, thanks for all the compliments. Villa Francione is one of a kind and indeed is the work of the great Architect and Engineer Arialdo Daverio. I'm sorry to hear you decided to sleep with the windows open and hence you hear the 2-3 trains occasionally passing at night. If you had closed the double glazing windows you would have not heard them. Unfortunatelly I know that the house was warm because you turned on the heating system during summer, hence you were warming it up. Moreover, air conditioning is not advertised as present. The house is eco-conscious and is designed (and insulated) to cool naturally, but the key point is, again, to not turn the heating on during summer! What you call "old" is actually original design furniture, mostly hand made, so yes, it's not Ikea chipboard, but full wood. The same holds for the bed frames that are hand made and the matress that have been recently replaced. The "bed couch" is made with duck neck feathers, so yes, it's not the first-price-foam you are used to, sorry about that, we can't one-fits-all with the low mass-marketed quality you are used to and appreciate. As you might know, in memory of my grand father Cav. Francione we keep our prices low just enough to repay expenses. We want as many families to appreciate Villa Francione and spend lovely family holidays. You paid the per-person-price of a hostel for your stay, during July, on the lakes, in Italy. A cheap hotel here would have been x3 times the price.

Dear Viktor, thanks for your visit to Villa Francione. We did our best to set up everything as per your special requests emerged during English and Italian phone calls and during Italian, German and English message exchange. The communication barrier was steep, but we did it. However, we want to do even better next time.
