The apartment was very clean and convenient. It is on a quiet side street right around the corner from a busy street with all kinds of shops, restaurants and buses. The options of three bathrooms (separate toilet, shower and tub) actually worked well to accommodate us four adults. The dimensions of everything were small relative to the size of our men (6’3” and 6’7”) but that seems to be the norm in Scotland. Pack light! The apartment provides all the little conveniences needed.
Had an amazing trip staying in this lovely apartment perfectly located in the heart of Leith. Convenient waking to everything including the tram. Apartment was clean and cozy. Highly reccomend!
This was a wonderful spot as home base for my family while we explored Edinburgh. The tram stop is just across the street so easy travel to sightseeing. Three small but comfortable bedrooms, a kitchen with appliances, and a living room with two couches and a TV. No problems with power, temperature, water, etc. There is only one toilet but two separate shower/bath rooms. There can be some noise from the street but rare. Not a good choice if you can't keep your own noise low because of thin walls between the rooms and to your neighbors.

Location is on the edge of ok. Felt sketchy at night. One evening upon our return there was a fight happening steps from our door. Not family friendly. Tram was not functional for our entire stay. While out of our hosts control it would have been nice to know before arriving so we could have made alternate arrangements from the airport. The tram located at the end of the street was a key reason for booking this flat.Walls are so thin you can hear every word spoken at front of property outside and upstairs can hear you. The front hall is deemed a “quiet zone”. The walls were dingy and stained with decorative boarders were falling off. We would not walk in the house in bare feet. EXTREMELY quirky house that the photos do not represent. All bathrooms are extremely tight. So if you are a bigger person (my son at 6’ found it challenging) it’s VERY tight. Separate stand alone shower was in a closet and never used. Shower bathroom was awkward. Note there is only one toilet. More towels and hand towels (better quality) are needed. One small towel per person for 6 days. One hand towel. Two dish towels. We could locate no others. Which is fine for a couple days but for a week long stay not sufficient. No washer/dryer combo as advertised.Although nothing was horribly wrong everything was just barely at standard and certainly not “excellent”. As long time VRBO customers we would rate this property 6/10.
Our stay in Leith was wonderful! The flat was spotless, cozy, and in the perfect location. There was so much to see and do just steps from the front door, and public transportation was only a short walk away, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. Margaret’s communication was exceptional—friendly, prompt, and always helpful. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh!
I think this apartment is a great deal in a great location. The hosts are super responsive. Just be aware that while it is listed as 3 bathroom, there is only one toilet. The 2 other rooms have either a shower or a tub.
Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, but so very easy to get to everything (including the airport!) by tram. Plenty to do in walking distance: pubs, cafes, bakeries, restaurants. (Need a reset? Try Puffin Sauna, a 14 minute walk toward Leith!). Clean unit, well-stocked with all the necessities, and comfy beds. Not luxurious, but just what we needed.
Everything we needed, with room to wind down after a day of sight seeing. Location is easily accessible to markets, restaurants, shopping, meeting tours, and numerous activities within walking distance if you like keeping up with your daily work out. The local people are friendly and helpful in giving directions or suggestions for activities in Scotland. Our host was easily accessible if we had any questions.
