First and foremost is the location of this property! It is fabulously located on the “left bank” of Paris mere blocks from the Ile de Paris and many fine sites and restaurants. I believe it’s why many ratings are 10’s and my opinion would be its perfect for short stays. We, on the other hand, booked this for 17 days. In retrospect we think this was a mistake. The neighborhood is noisy beginning with garbage pickup at 6-7 AM weekdays complete with noise and clatter in the adjacent courtyard and outside the directly on the street front door. Fortunately garbage is picked up daily because the only public trash receptacle is just to the right of the only entry and the area residents and travelers are hardly tidy or respectful of their streets. This includes dog urine and feces which also collected near our entry. Fortunately, a neighbor was nice enough to rinse some of it away into the street. On to the inside. The kitchen is fairly well equipped but lacks adequate dish quantities for more than 2 people. Although it’s listed as a 1 bedroom, to an American it’s more of a studio, one continuous space with a 3/4 dividing wall between kitchen/sitting area with sleeping area in opposite semi closed space. The double bed(USA size) is comfortable but jammed in the space with less than 24” of access on either side. Closet space and drawer space is limited (some extra linens occupy a fifth) The bathroom is adequate with a shower, sink, and commode, nothing special. Limits
