Beautiful stay

The bed was very comfortable & the kitchen was easy to get around, Top mention on the shower being powerful and lovely. Everything was perfect and spot on from start to finish, even enjoyed cleaning up around the place, in fact i called my husband Mr Pear Tree all week cause we loved it very much! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Pear Tree Cottage is beautiful and is a wonderful place to stay to explore this part of South Devon. The narrow single lane roads take a little bit of getting used to but always seem lead to a gorgeous beach or a stunning cove. We can’t wait to come back. The cottage was spotlessly clean and exactly as described…if you want a peaceful break in one of the loveliest parts of the UK then look no further. It even made England’s defeat to Argentina in the World Cup bearable!!!

Beautiful little cottage that was perfect for a couple nights stay.

Beautiful little cottage that was perfect for a couple nights stay. Very peaceful and quiet, and close to the coast for daytime exploring. The only challenge was parking as the adjoining lane is pretty steep. Once I worked out that reversing in was much easier though, I got the hang of it!

Short break to picture perfect spot

The property is exactly like the pictures. It’s a perfect retreat for two, with a lovely balance of period character cottage with modern feel. The nearby area is glorious, plenty of beautiful beaches and lovely coastal walls up to the Avon Estuary. We will be back I’m sure!

Idyllic setting, beautiful cottage, lovely garden

Idyllic setting, beautiful cottage, lovely garden. I had a great time, especially since the British are incredibly friendly and courteous, especially when it comes to traffic. A very beautiful beach (South Milton Sands) is nearby. There are restaurants and pubs in Hope Cove. Access by car is a bit of a challenge, as the roads throughout the area are narrow.

Great location and beautiful cottage!

Great location. Beautiful cottage that has been renovated with a lot of patience and love for the building. Very special place, 'in the middle of nowhere', a real home away from home. High quality, luxury (at least for our standards) home. Pricey but worth it. Surroundings (villages, cities, beaches, hilly landscape) great to drivewalk around in for a couple of days. Less then 10 minutes to the nearest beach.

Pear Cottage is a delightful rustic cottage

Pear Cottage is a delightful rustic cottage set in a beautiful location with stunning views. The cottage was perfect for our 2 day stay in Devon. The actual cottage was lovely and suited us for our short stay. The location is very remote so you will need to use your car to get around. Once we had conquered the narrow roads and very tight bends into the village and parked up on the steep lane leading to the cottage all was well.

Absolutely beautiful cottage... the most peaceful place to say. It was wonderful to hear the birds and nothing else. Everything was extremely well looked after and cared for, and felt very homely. Really lovely place to relax in. There is absolutely nothing I could fault with the cottage and would love to stay again. Driving on country roads in Devon was a whole new experience, so if you are a townie like me then I would recommend you look them up before you arrive and practice reversing round a corner so it's not a surprise!

Lovely little cottage!

Perfect little cottage in a lovely peaceful village. It was beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The garden and little terrace are lovely - sitting out in the evening was a real treat. Also in a fab part of Devon, not far to lots of great beaches and towns! Hardly anything to complain about- was such a lovely stay. Just worth noting that the bed is a fairly small double (which is advertised but was pretty cosy!) and there is nothing (eg shoppub) in South Milton so just means everything is a drive but if you a prepared for that it’s no problem!
