Tastefully refurbished, within metres of the beach, and with gorgeous views over Slapton Ley. This lovely couples’ hideaway in the small South Hams village of Torcross is what dreamy coastal getaways are all about. Detached and set over two floors, the cottage has a beautiful upper floor open plan living area with views over the ley, and a fabulous master bedroom with large shower room downstairs. Parking is provided with a permit for the nearby car park

Good Housekeeping Bond
We ask our guests for a £75 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

Lovely stay at Swan’s Nest

We had four nights at the Swan’s Nest. Accommodation was first rate, everything you could need for a break, kitchen very well equipped, modern furnishings and decoration. Loved sitting in the window looking out at the Ley and the beach is on the doorstep!

Lovely spot

Beautiful views to be had from the upstairs lounge big windows. Yet only steps from the beach. Walks at the far end of estuary were lovely.

Wonderful accommodation with a beautiful view

A lovely property in Torcross, with a stunning view of the ley. The house is 'upside down' in that the sleeping quarters are downstairs and the living area is upstairs with large windows overlooking the ley. It has a very well furnished kitchen, a comfortable bedroom and very relaxing living area.

Beautiful stay at the Swans Nest

We had a lovely stay at the Swans Nest! It was very well equipped and clean and beautifully decorated. Perfect location for a relaxing stay, and loved ooking at over the beautiful lake view every day!

Super stay

Incredible views over the lake while only minute to the beach.the local farm shop is top notch for beer and pizza.dartmouth is a fabulous place.

Lovely 5 day stay

Lovely stay in a clean, comfortable. Super comfy bed, well kitted out kitchen- has everything we needed. Beautiful views of the ley, watching the birds and sky. Seconds to walk to the beach. Nice local cafes etc and great nearby village pubs. Highly recommend staying here.

Nice spot for a weekend away

Swans Nest is a thoughtfully prepared and cosy retreat just a stones throw from the beach. Comfy lounge with views over Slspton Ley. A well equipped kitchen makes self catering easy. Or if you prefer, the Start Bay Inn is a short stroll away, offering a variety of dishes and excellent fish and chips. We’d stay again and would recommend.

Very clean and nicely furnished house with a lovely view over Slapton Ley.

The house was very nicely furnished and decorated. The upstairs lounge area has lovely views over Slapton Ley from big windows. The kitchen was well equipped and the owners provided welcome milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. Downstairs there is a lovely bathroom and comfortable bedroom. Outside there is only very small yard (accessed via the alleyway). OK for storing wet or sandy gear but not suitable for sitting outside, however the beach is only a few steps along the alley so not a problem! We very much enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Just lovely

Swan’s Nest was immaculate. Everything went so smoothly from booking right through to leaving the property. The owner is friendly, very kind and concerned that all is well with your stay. Swan’s nest is contemporary in design & very well equipped. We could cook full meals when we wanted to easily. As for the views….. they are glorious! We were there mid January so we had short days but for parts of the days we were indoors was wonderful to look out at the lake. Torcross is lovely too. We would certainly come back.

Perfect

Swan’s Nest was fantastic. The location could not be better with delightful views over the Ley. The layout of the property has been carefully considered to take advantage of this with all the open plan living accommodation upstairs, being flooded with light, through two very large picture windows but because you are upstairs it is also private. The bedroom and bathroom are both very comfortable. The bathroom is a good size with a lovely large walk in shower which has both an overhead rain-head and adjustable wall mounted shower. The entire space is immaculately clean and has everything you could possibly need. Torcross never feels crowded but the best time is in the evenings when day trippers leave and you can just enjoy looking out over the Ley watching the wildlife, fantastic entertainment.
