We have stayed in cabins in the general vicinity for 10 years straight years and this is the only one I would stay in again without question …
Short steep driveway but parking area is perfect with room easily for 3 vehicles..

The cabin was immaculate. Communication with the host was extremely easy with quick responses. I would’ve rated the cabin a five had I have been able to access the driveway. The information presented with the cabin was something to the effect “it’s difficult to navigate the driveway at certain times of the year”. One assumes that would occur during winter months - may need a four-wheel-drive. However, we were there the second week of October with temps in the high 80’s. The drive was so covered in algae that our car could not make it up to the cabin. We have a six cylinder front wheel drive. The first day after numerous attempts to climb the drive, we had to back up the drive, which was not safe and we were not comfortable to do that again. Fortunately, there was another drive close to ours that we were able to utilize and reach our cabin. I feel as though the property should be checked regularly to see if the drive (which is concrete)should be pressure washed to remove any algae/mold We enjoyed the grounds, but be aware it is very difficult if not impossible to climb that drive.

Peaceful Location

The cabin was just as described. It was in a great location, especially for going to Cades Cove. Very clean and in a quite location. Provided a great place for a quick family trip.

Wonderful Mountain Cabin

We had a GREAT time! The cabin was clean, welcoming and we felt at home while we were there. It is a great location to all the local sites (we were there for hiking.) I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who would like to visit the area. A plus - the neighbors were very nice also.

Family vacay

Myself, my husband, my sister and brother-in-law really enjoyed our stay at Higher Ground. It was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We spent most of our time there outside and loved the porch swing. Would definitely stay here again.

Higher Ground is perfect for anyone needing easy access into the cabin.

There is only one short step up onto the porch, which worked great for my elderly Dad. This was our 2nd time staying and we love everything about it. Spacious, quiet, all the amenities like home, and close to Cade's Cove. Will definitely stay again!
