My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was just what we needed for the 2 of us a place of rest, relaxation, and peace. Not far from the falls/ state park at all. Everything you need for a quiet little getaway. We didn’t get to have a fire due to the weather but will next time.
This place was nice for two people but just two people. Amenities were a little short. Only 1 hand towel. Mentioned dishwasher but did not have one. Thermostat didn’t work but did have a space heater that was able to heat up the place. Was very cute and close to where we wanted to go. Think a little overpriced
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! It’s very convenient for hiking and exploring neighboring towns. Quaint and serene. A great location! More of a field/farm view than an actual Mountain View but was very peaceful none the less and the hot tub is a great touch! Very clean!
Exactly what we expected plus a newborn calf we got to watch learning to walk around close to the falls and hiking trails. Very relaxing get away

Not for the disabled or larger bodies people
I'll start out by saying that the view, the bed, the porch swing we're all the best. The little cabin was quiet and the view was good.
The bathroom had a very small shower w/ a hand held sprayer., there was blood on the bathroom blinds, there were 3 regular plugs no GFI plug in bathroom and really way to small for that many plugs to begin with, dirty floors, microwave had metal broken on it , a cabinet door had no way of closing to stay closed. . There were screws and nails sticking up on the porch and steps that made me trip , the chemicals in the hot tub were so strong that it burned out eyes and nose, the stepping stones were unstable and loose
so needless to say we were not as happy as we could have been there. This is my very honest opinion and maybe someone can pay attention to the little cabin, it has been neglected. It has not got the little metal roosters setting up like the pictures show in the VRBO. To me that is false advertising and it's not just about the metal roosters it just has been neglected. It has potential to be a perfect place to stay if you have no physical disabilities or don't mind broken things, or chemical overload in the hot tub.
we could have been

Tiny and disappointing
Cabin was very small...one room and a bathroom! No stove and a tiny sink in kitchen area. Best part was the jacuzzi. I was disappointed
Cute little cabin, very clean, nice hot tub. Relaxed by the fire one night. Enjoyed the country scenery with the cows and ducks. Close to Desoto State Park. Very quite and relaxing weekend.
The property is easy to find, yet secluded. I loved the trees that surrounded the cottage, allowing the screened porch more privacy. The accommodations were more than adequate but the best part of the cabin was the hot tub! I can’t wait to go back!
This is a great place for couples. The property was so cozy and the management went above and beyond when we had a minor issue. Already looking forward to booking it for another weekend getaway!
Overall I had a really good stay at the Roosters Rest! I booked myself a short trip for my birthday, and really enjoyed this cabin! It is so cute and cozy, and two of my favorite things was being close to the pasture and getting to see all the cows so close by and relaxing in the hot tub! My only small complaint would be that during my last night there the smoke detector went off and started beeping several times during the night, so it woke me up and I had to keep getting a broom to tap it several times for it to quit beeping. Other than that, I had a really good stay at the Roosters Rest and thought that it was cozy and relaxing!
Loved the house. Everything was perfect. Next to a meadow with cows. So beautiful and peaceful. Our favorite was the hot tub. Enclosed porch with a bench swing. Nice to drink my coffee in the morning looking out at the awesome countryside. Thank you for your hospitality.
Absolutely loved our stay! One small issue & property manager took care of it quickly! They even upgraded us! Highly recommend both properties and the area. If you love the mountains & waterfalls or headed to Talladega, awesome place to stay!!!!
Cozy cabin,i liked the privacy, at first we couldn't enjoy being outside because a large dog was near the premises barking at us, i texted the number they provided ,there was no hot water but overall we enjoyed the stay
Our stay was perfect! Just what we needed. Perfect, quiet get away.

A little about the my family, the new owner of Roosters Rest. My name is Devin Dean and I am happily married to Ivey Dean and we have two amazing children, Hallie and Jaxson. We purchased the adjoining farm and immediately fell in love with the Roosters Rest cabins. We were both born and raised in Ft Payne so we are natives of this area. With Roosters Rest adjoining Dean Farms, it seemed logical for us to grow to include Roosters Rest. We plan on offering the same great cabins, same wonderful location and the same exceptional vacation experience!
