Cabin has one bedroom (king size bed) and one bathroom, has a full eat in kitchen with everything you need to cook and serve with. The cabin has a full size washer and dryer on site. It also has a wood burning fireplace ( one bundle of wood provided), screened in porch with hot tub, and a covered parking area. All bed and bath linens are provided. The property joins the Desoto State Park Management area, so you can hike to Little River from property.

Wonderful as always

The perfect property for us. The cottage is cozy with charming, thoughtful delights sprinkled throughout to complement the season. The property is private and serene, and the view of Little River from the end of Al’s Nest trail is breathtakingly beautiful. We ventured into Cloudland Canyon as well on this visit and lucked up with sunshine and just enough snow on the ground make for an especially magical hike. Happy adventuring!

Al's Nest

The property and the cabin are very well maintained. This was our second time staying at Al's Nest and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Terri and Todd are amazing hosts! This will be our go to vacation spot for me and my husband.

Annual anniversary trip

Al's Nest is, as always, the highlight of our trip to the mountains. Close enough to everything to enjoy an afternoon outing. Secluded enough to get away from it all. Comfortable, clean, and cozy.

Great Stay in the Woods

We enjoyed a mini vacation at Al’s Nest outside of Mentone, Alabama. The cabin is truly in the woods and just the right size for a couple. The fire pit is very nice, and the kitchen well equipped. If you book, be aware it is on a county road, but a dirt road. We thought surely our GPS was off, but it wasn’t.

The perfect place to be

We have stayed in this area each fall for almost ten years and this is our favorite cabin ever. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The kind sized bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the wood burning fireplace was so nice and the hot tub was really one of the best that we have experienced.

Long weekend for hiking and relaxing

Everything was wonderful! We loved staying here. The cabin is beautiful and convenient to Mentone and Desoto State Park. Check in and out was very easy and we enjoyed being able to relax in hot tub after long day of hiking.

Cute little house

My husband and I stayed here for our 18th wedding anniversary. It was such a cute little house! The pictures are accurate! It was perfect for the 2 of us! Our host left us a welcome note and a sweet treat! Check in process was a breeze with no issues! There were clear directions on the checkout process provided in a notebook along with some great information on food, hiking trails and such! My only complaint is the shower was small! I will definitely recommend this house to others. Thank you to our hosts for making this a GREAT anniversary getaway!

Perfect getaway spot in the quiet woods

We loved our long weekend stay here. It was very quiet and peaceful. Everything was very clean, orderly, and comfortable. It was such a nice touch to leave us some delicious pound cake. The nearness to nature is awesome! There are lots of trails and sights nearby. The hot tub made the weekend extra relaxing. I got some incredible sleep here too, the bed was so nice. We will definitely be back! I would recommend to bring some DVDs since there is a dvd player, we will do that next time. Thank you for the lovely stay

The perfect getaway!

This cabin is amazing! It is so quiet and peaceful and the host Terrie is fabulous. The cabin was spotless and was well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed being able to hike right out the back door to some beautiful scenery, and the fireplace and hot tub just added to the relaxing experience. The towns right around are so cute and friendly with some wonderful restaurants and fun shopping. I would highly recommend this place and hope that we can return again in the future! Thank you, Terri, for sharing your cabin and your amazing pound cake!!

Perfect perfect perfect

This place was exactly what we needed for a romantic anniversary vacation. The cottage is beautiful and comfortable with really lovely touches throughout. The hosts are amazing and kind. I’m absolutely neurotic but Teri graciously answered all my questions with patience and understanding. There was enough seclusion to feel comfortable and private but not so cut off that it felt like we were completely off the grid. We’re definitely already thinking about going back next year. Also the blueberry pound cake that Teri made was phenomenal and such a lovely touch. I also have severe cinnamon allergies and she worked with me to make sure I would be safe. Cannot have been happier with our decision to rent this place.
