You have thought of everything....

What a place, you have thought of everything! We had a wonderful stay with our family of 6. Walks, pubs, restaurants, vineyards, polo match and local farm shop! Great! Now we head back to Norway.

A haven to stay in...

A haven to stay in during our brief stay in Petworth having travelled from Scotland for a family funeral. Despite the occasion we had a lovely stay in Sheepdown. Extremely comfortable with every eventuality catered for. We would come back for a "proper" stay like a shot. Thank you.

Stunning cottage - beautifully presented - in a gorgeous location

We had a short, but lovely stay in Sheepdown. Really could not have been better. Everything thought about - amazing welcome pack. Very comfortable. Would love to have been staying longer - maybe one day we will. But we had a great family stay. Thank you.

The house was lovely and bright, super clean, quality comfort of bed and bedding, every appliance one needed for a stay which all worked perfectly, The host was very generous with leaving enough quality food basics to get started. The cars could be parked immediately outside of the house which made it easy to unload and load.It is really close to centre of Petworth and yet one is able to walk into countryside immediately. We really enjoyed our stay at Sheepdown hugely and being able to accommodate us all i.e. grandparents, adult children, grandchildren and our dogs. We would definitely love to return. Many thanks to the host for allowing us to stay here.

We drove all the way from Sweden!

We stayed here for the weekend of Goodwood Members Meeting as my father was racing one if his cars. We drove all the way from Sweden! We enjoyed the house, the great sights and Petworth as well. We will come back for sure! Thank you so much.

Sheepdown

Can not fault the property at all, spotlessly clean, everything was new and everything had been thought off. The owner lives next door and was very pleasant when speaking to her. We wanted to book again for a further 2 weeks, unfortunately, someone had booked the weekend so this was not possible. A little more expensive than we would normally pay but l am guessing it was the time of year, its hard to judge value for money but overall a 10/10 stay.

We felt at home

Thank you for a comfortable stay! The views are breath taking and we enjoyed lovely walks around Petworth. The house is gorgeous and we felt at home. We were grateful after a long trip to arrive with goodies to get us going. We head back to the US with wonderful memories of Christmas 2025 spent here and would definitely book again.

Sheepdown is a warm and inviting cottage with a glorious, old world charm

We loved our stay at Sheepdown. The country side is beautiful and the cottage looks out over ‘green and pleasant’ land. It is quiet, restful and tasteful, yet an easy walk to gorgeous Petworth village with all its amenities and to wonderful Petworth House and Park. We found it a perfect location from which to explore the wonders of gorgeous West Sussex. Sheepdown is a warm and inviting cottage with a glorious, old world charm, but with the added advantage of every modern amenity. The cottage is tastefully decorated and appointed and yet its cosy ambiance makes you feel ‘at home’. We loved our stay here and plan to one day, hopefully return.

Thank you for a wonderful experience we had during our short recent stay at your lovely property. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. Your attention to detail and thoughtful touches made our family getaway truly special, as we were attending a wedding in the area. The space was not only comfortable but beautifully maintained, providing the perfect back-drop to our family memories. We especially appreciated a well equipped kitchen and the Nespresso machine brought a smile to my face! We loved the cosy dining area and beautiful views. It was clear that you put a lot of care into making sure your guests have everything they need to have a pleasant stay. Thank you once again! We hope to return in the future and will definitely recommend your property to our family and friends.
