The Smithy near Lucton, Herefordshire, sleeps two people in one bedroom.

The Smithy is a Grade II listed cottage consisting of a kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, and dining seating, along with a sitting room with TV, woodburning stove, radio, and DVD Player. There is a double bedroom serviced by a bathroom. Outside, there is an enclosed patio with furniture and barbecue, along with off-road parking for two cars. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Travel cot and highchair available. There is a shop in 2.8 miles and pub in 2.2 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels inc. in rent. The Smithy is a lovely base for a rural retreat in Herefordshire.

This area is home to the famous Mortimer Trail, a long distance walking route and nearby is the National Trust’s Croft Castle with its medieval fishponds. Enjoy a walk on the nearby Bircher Common, an area of lowland heath offering lovely views of the surrounding Marches, wild horses, sheep grazing and deer, ideal for enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the area.
