Ski-In-Ski Out Northwoods Condo

Nestled at the base of Vail Mountain, Northwoods condominiums provides easy access to Golden Peak Lifts and Children's Ski School. This Ski-in Ski-Out 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom property gives you easy access to the slopes. You walk out your door, put your skis on and ski down to Chair 6 in Golden Peak or over to Gondola 1 in Vail Village. At the end of the day, ski through the tunnel under Golden Peak to the condo. Follow the path back to your spacious condo.

There is a hot tub, pool (see schedule below of when it’s open ) sauna, steam room and exercise room at the complex.

There is a large grand room, 11 person dining table, comfortable couch with spectacular views of Vail Mountain and Vail Valley. This place will make you feel as if you are home. The kitchen has everything you will need from coffee maker to two sub zero refrigerator. There are three bedrooms located on the main level and three bedrooms located on the upper level. There are two master bedrooms. One on each level. The main level has a master bedroom with a king and flat screen tv and ensuite bathroom with jetted tub, the second bedroom has two full beds with a gas fireplace and flat screen TV, the third room has a king with a flatscreen and an ensuite bathroom. The bedrooms upstairs are as follows room #4 Master bedroom with King bed and twin daybed with flat screen tv and ensuite bathroom and walk in closet, #5 two full beds with ensuite bathroom, #6 twin murphy bed. This room is small but it has its own bathroom.

There is a washer and dryer in the condo on the main level.

307 Northwoods for the 307 crowd

Really nice two story condo right at the top of the Gold Peak magic carpet. The view is excellent and there was room for all. Nice kitchen, we cooked for 13 regularly and the large dining table accommodated us. Also another table closer to the front window for kids to sit around and color and after the families left, the last of us to sit, sip coffee and watch the deer go by. Right by a bus stop and Ford Amphitheater. Not right in the village but an easy walk or free bus ride. So we could just park the car and head out down the valley.

Wonderful place!

This is a beautiful, well-maintained, a property. The property manager, Michelle was very easy to communicate with if anything arose. Beds and linens were comfortable. Kitchen extremely well stocked. Most importantly, the location is fabulous. We would love to come stay again!

True Ski in/ ski out experience

The property was perfect for our ski vacation. Easy access to the mountain, ski school, and back bowls. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, pots and pans and dinnerware. The beds were all comfortable and all the bedroom had their own full bathroom. Looking forward to our next ski vacation in Vail!

Very spacious condo with a beautiful view of the slopes. The entire family enjoyed the location and the convenience of skiing right onto to the trails. Dishwasher and dryer weren’t working but management provided disposable silverware and plates and there is another laundry room down the hall. Overall, our family loved it and want to return next year.

Great Location

Pros: The location and ability to house numerous family members was a big plus. The kitchen was well stocked. Check in was easy. Nice house. Cons: kitchen was dirty. We had to wash before we used. Also, I did not realize there was no A/C in the unit. Overall: great place to stay. I would stay again and would recommend to others.

Skiers Delight

Wow, we are now officially spoiled after staying in this unit for a week (1st week March 2023). This is a great residence for large groups with varied ski abilities. First, Northwoods is truly ski in and out even for beginners. We skied off the slopes right to the back door in the afternoon and from the back door right to Chair 6 (Riva Bahn Express) in the morning. There is a cool "ski tunnel" that takes you under the lower Golden Peak Race trail over to the access trail to get home. The ski locker is right out the back door so no trucking around town in your boots carrying your skis . Chair 6 had no lift lines in the morning so you get up the mountain very quickly. And for those who have left it all on the mountain, you can download Chair 6 back to base at the end of the day. The unit is serviced by elevator and is on the 3rd and 4th floor of the Willow building. There is indoor parking if you bring a car (although we did not need one to get around). Access to the complex is gated so the complex is very quiet. The home itself is airy, bright, clean, very nicely appointed and equipped with everything you need to make yourself at home during your stay. Twin Subzero refrigerator/freezers with ice makers give you ample space for groceries and we found everything we wanted at the Market at Vail in Lionshead (beer & wine included). Check the condiment cupboard below right of the range top before buying spices because chances are its already there! Huge supply of dishes, glasses and utensils and all needed appliances to cook up a feast. Every bedroom has its own bathroom ensuite so plenty of privacy for all. Lots of closet space and drawers to put stuff away so no clutter. The beds are comfy and the linens crisp - slept like logs. Towels for the hot tub/pool/sauna/steam room can be found in the closet on the second floor. Sauna and steam are in the women's and men's lockers and it is best to send a "volunteer" down to turn on them on about 15-20 min before using them (or you will have to wait in the hot tub while they heat). There is a washer and dryer in the unit so you can pack lighter and do some wash mid-week (detergent was already there). Also, remember this is more a "home setting" and not a resort facility so you are on the hook to change your sheets and towels during your stay. Our property managers, Michelle and Tina were accessible and very helpful getting us in and settled. We highly recommend this property.

Perfect location for the perfect ski week!

You can’t beat this location for skiing. It is the easiest ski in/ski out place in the mountains. Even if the kids can’t ski in they can hop on the magic carpet and take it right to condo. It’s also an easy walk into the village. Besides the location there is plenty of space to spread out. Love the three King beds plus every room has an en suite. So perfect to have your own bathroom when sharing a house with others. Also, the property manager was very accessible and easy to work with! Book this condo. You won’t be sorry!

Wonderful location in Vail

Great ski-in/ski-out location. You can literally ski right to the ski locker, which is only half a flight of stairs from the condo entrance. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, with an additional half bath on the main level, and a full bathroom upstairs. Kitchen was extremely well stocked, including spices. Some of the frying pans were worn, but there were plenty of them. Two refrigerators and lots of storage space. Not a huge amount of counter space. Lots of different kitchen utensils and devices. We did have a drainage problem with one of the shower drains. The property manager had a plumber out that day to resolve the problem, and she kept us updated on his arrival time. Heated floors throughout. The only strange thing is that one of the bedrooms has a murphy bed, and almost no space once the bed is opened, but it still had it’s own bathroom. Overall we loved the place, and would not hesitate to rent it again.

Vail family vacation

Beautiful property! Great location! Our family especially enjoyed the close access to the ski school, along with easy access to ski lifts. Perfect for Ski-in Ski-out! The oven wasn't working so we were not able to do any cooking, however the property manager had already ordered the oven part before we arrived. Oven was just not able to be fixed during our stay. Property manager responded quickly to our texts/calls regarding any questions/concerns from our group.

Great family stay for Vail wedding

We were a family of 11 people, all adults ages 25-70, attending the September wedding of another family member. The wedding took place at Vail Country Club. This location was perfectly situated between the golf club and Vail Village allowing for easy access to all events and free time leisure activities. It's a lovely and easy walk into Vail Village and the Vail Nature Center sits directly across from the Northwoods Condo Association entrance where this home is located. You can follow trails through the Nature Center directly to the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens as well. From the deck of the home, you overlook the Riva Bahn lift and down toward Vail Village. There is no seating on the deck which is too bad as it is a lovely spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The layout of beds, bedrooms and the inclusion of ensuite bathrooms for each bedroom was absolutely perfect for a large adult group. The kitchen was well supplied and allowed us to cook meals as we pleased without issue. There is a Safeway and a City Market for groceries just a few miles away on the frontage road in West Vail. We highly recommend Big Bear for breakfast and Two Arrows for coffee! The living/dining space was open and well appointed for lots of seating allowing us to really enjoy eating, lounging and talking with each other as an extended family. Michelle the property manager was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. We had a truly wonderful experience here and we look forward to another visit at some point in the future!

No problems The rental cost was higher than that of other properties of similar quality we have rented in Colorado in the past or sin similar areas on the East and West coasts. . Recent visits in Lionsgate, , Colorado Springs, Steamboat Springs and Charlottesville Va. in similar properties were all significantly lower cost. Michelle Head was a very helpful and easily accessible agent.

Everything about this Golden Peak home was exceptional. It was the perfect location and the number of beds and bathrooms were perfect for our 3 generation vacation. The proximity to Ford Park and to the restaurants and shops of Vail as well as the Golden Peak pickleball courts made it an east well rounded vacation for all. We will be back!
