We are very animal friendly and have 2 ponds on property with cascading waterfalls, goldfish, koi, angelfish and turtles to help you relax and rejuvenate. We also have 3 (sometime 4 when we're fostering) super-friendly and amazing dogs who provide security for the yard and companionship to our guests when wanted. We have a few cats on property who patrol indoors and out for small critters that we don't want in the house. In the yard we have aviares with tropical birds and a duck in the pond by the casita. Finally we raise chickens and usually have fresh eggs for our guests!

It had been my dream to own a home on Roatan for many years and I am excited to share that dream with you! I have curated the home with local furnishings including one-of-kind art and furniture pieces from local island craftsmen to give you an authentic experience during your stay. CASA CARIBE is a highly secluded one-of-a-kind BEACHFRONT home on a private 3-acre jungle-adjacent estate with 360 degree views overlooking the Ocean & Barrier Reef, Politilly Bay and the Jungle canopy.

Whether you're looking for extreme privacy, a honeymoon hideaway, family vacation or group retreat, find it here. A private Pool & Hot Tub with sunset views, private sun deck and numerous hammocks will keep you relaxed in paradise.

We make SCUBA easy. There are several nearby dive shops; or if you own all your own equipment, you can shore dive from the house (though it is a bit of a swim to the outside reef).

Our concrete constructed beach home is perched atop a small hill at water's edge with 2 private beaches in Politilly Bight overlooking the turquoise colored waters of the Bay & Caribbean and all the way around to the luscious green canopy of the Jungle. The 3-acre property is fully fenced, gated and locked and our dogs patrol the yard 24/7. Surrounding neighbors all have multiple acre properties ensuring your privacy and solitude for ultimate relaxation.

Unlike most properties on the island **ALL WATER IS DRINKABLE** coming from any faucet on the property as it is micron filtered, ozonated and then filtered by UV light, making it completely safe and drinkable. No need for bottled water or worrying if it is safe.

For your comfort and convenience, our on-site caretakers will be available to assist you with any needs at the property. One lives on property in a separate caretaker's residence at the East end of our property to provide 24/7 convenience and security.

The grounds and home are also monitored by an offsite security company through an alarm system.

Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of our caretakers with fresh coconuts. Anything you need, they are always just a phone call or holler away. Whether it's an early morning kayak launch or late night concern, he will be there to assist you! He is from the local village and can regale you with stories and island history if you are interested. He is also able to assist you when donning your snorkel or scuba gear before getting into the water at our beach or dock.

After coming inside, you'll find cold refreshments, fresh fruit and a few goodies to help you recover from your flight to our island-paradise!

The Ground floor has a garage (locked) and laundry and utility rooms. In the Laundry Room you'll find a washer and dryer for your convenience.

On the 1st floor are the Bedrooms. Each Bedroom has its own new AC system, separate ceiling fan, and blackout curtains to ensure maximum comfort. We feature ultra luxury linens by Brooklinen to ensure your sleep is tranquil and dreamy! All rooms have an exterior door leading to the pool, hot tub and sun deck.

--The Master Suite has a custom super-comfy King Bed and a large desk. From the bed you can clearly see the Ocean and Pool and peeks of the Jungle just outside. There is a large walk-through closet and oversized private bathroom.

--The 1st Guest Bedroom has a King Bed. Views of the Jungle dominate the windows but the Ocean can easily be seen from this room also!

--The 2nd Guest Bedroom has a Queen Bed and comfy Double-size Futon. Views of the Ocean, Pool, Beach and Jungle can be seen from this room.

There is a shared bathroom just outside the 2 Guest Bedroom doors.

The Top Floor is an expansive open space with an expertly-equipped Chef's Kitchen, Dining Room, Sitting Area, and TV Lounge. There is also a 1/2 bath with toilet and sink adjacent the kitchen. Four extra-large fans with custom hand-carved wooden fan blades adorn the locally sourced Honduran Pine vaulted ceiling and compliment the six-foot wrought iron chandelier. Cook large family meals using state of the art appliances, granite counter-tops and a myriad of kitchen tools/gadgets. Or enjoy a good book in the Sitting Area, catch the big game on the new 55" LCD TV in the TV Lounge or sit out on the deck in a hammock gazing out over the turquoise waters.

Outside on the Top wraparound Deck you'll find several hooks to place one of the many hammocks you'll find on property. There is also a large hand carved wooden table on the Deck for outdoor eating. And finally you can bird watch using our binoculars, relax and read a book, take a nap or just stare out into the jungle while lying in one of the 2 hand carved lounge chairs on this Deck. If grilling is your fancy, there is a gas BBQ just outside of the kitchen on the deck.

Down below on the Pool Deck you'll encounter 6 additional lounge chairs and a set of 4 folding teak chairs. There are benches near the Hot Tub and additional seating at the edge of the Pool. The Pool isn't heated, but you wouldn't want it to be in this tropical paradise. The adjacent Hot Tub can be adjusted to your preferred temperature and is covered with a large roof so you can enjoy it even during a rainstorm. Next to the hot tub is a new 15x15 feet sun deck overlooking the beach and ocean and down closer to the beach is another deck/massage platform.

Daily on-site local meal preparation (and shopping/clean-up) is available for an added cost. Private charters can be arranged for nearly any activity, including fishing, snorkeling, scuba, zip-lining, monkeys, sloths, parrots, etc.

If partying is more your speed, getting to the West End for big clubs and bars is just down island. Or if local music and dancing is preferred, have one of the caretakers take you to the neighboring village of Punta Gorda on Fri/Sat/Sun to dance the night away in a palapa on the beach, having the time of your life.

Bill will be your primary caretaker; he lives on property in a separate casita approximately 400' to the East with a direct sightline to the house. He and an assistant will be available to assist with everything from carrying groceries/bags, launching kayaks, guiding snorkel tours, cleaning the BBQ, catching you fresh fish, translation assistance, tour guide to local villages and just about anything else you might think of!

Nickie Ramos is our Property Manager. She lives nearby and will be available throughout your stay to offer recommendations, assistance, and massages* and cooking* (added cost) on-site at the house. She will come in to clean one day mid-stay and can refresh your linens and flowers upon request other days. On request, she will also do your laundry.

Remember to bring sunscreen and bugspray (though we have few bugs at the house) for when you go out n about.

You are responsible for covering the cost of the electricity you use while at Casa Caribe. Your rate includes $15/day toward electricity. Additional usage will be recorded and billed against the security deposit.

The home has new super-high efficiency ACs, DC fans and all lights on property are LED.
